Wow here's a 5'6" 140lber that actually wants to fight not the best 140, but 147 and 154lbers! He took care of Lamont like a boss and like any elite fighter would. I hope he does get his rematches and set the record straight on those robberies.
He could be a lot quicker, and hed still be worse then Margo. Margarito would never lose to a guy on Alvarado's level, and would never get outboxed by the likes of Abril.... and mark my words, Rios will never beat a Cotto, a Clottey, or a Martinez. Rios and Margarito are on two completely different levels in terms of effectiveness inside the ring. If you think Rios is as good and as effective as margarita was in his prime, then you are vastly overrating Rios as a fighter, and underrating Margarito. But to each their own opinion. But history will show me right. Rios has already lost to a level of fighter Margarito would have beaten the **** out of. And he will never beat an elite opponent, or a top 4 guy at 140 or 147, imo. Also, a worn out, at the end of his career Margarito did better then a prime Rios is going to do against Pac, just watch. Yes, a lot of that will be due to the sizes involved, but Pac is going to brutalise Rios, because at the end of the day, Rios is a good fighter, but that's it. Margarito, like him or not, and as basic as he was, was more then just good. And when talking how effective they are against opponents in their weight class, Margarito is levels above Rios. Just imo though :good
Like Golovkins, Lucas is calling out everyone from 140 -154. He has no idea how it's gonna be when he gets KO'd.
He said this in a not-so-serious way. He wasn't out outright calling for a fight with him. He was asked how he felt about the Pacquiao comparisons, and his response was pretty much, "Thanks, but I'd much rather fight him lulz", to which everyone else laughed with, too.
