(I won't as I have just bought the missus a new car and I am skint, so can this be hypothetical) I know you shot down the idea of the Rees match prior to Gonzalez but I feel that it will be to tempting for Eddie Hearn not to make this match its easy money and an easy sell. Ricky wins at a canter, no disrespect to Rees but they are different levels how much do you think Ricky would get out of that fight? I think Eddie will deliver the unification fights but not next up imo, as from a business standpoint Rees is the logical next fight but for Ricky personally I don't think it does anything. Has I've said previously Gonzalez IMO was weight drained,physically he looked great so his fitness IMO can't be brought into question it's just Ricky out strengthen him it a 12 round fight not 7,8,or 9 if I trained Gonzalez I'd move him up to LWW in saying that I'm sure the weight would be easier to shift in PR than in Scotland. Yep, definitely. Like I've said before, a lot of fighters give it the whole "I'm just a down to earth lad me" routine but Burns doesn't need to do that shite. He's a genuine nice guy. Why anyone would dislike the guy is beyond me. **** it, he's now my favorite British fighter.
I'm sorry Billy but Ive got an awful feeling that its going to be Rees if he gets past Crolla....It might be a decent fight for a British or European title, but its just not world title standard, especially after we were robbed of Ricky - Vazquez....Thats the standard of opponent that should be being sought out.
