There's not much sadder in sports than watching a favorite fighter take a beating. Sometimes it's just a superior opponent, sometimes Father Time has already laid the groundwork, often it's a bit of both.

In recent years, I've seen Gatti obliterated by Mayweather and Cotto beaten down by Margarito. In jr. high I saw Hagler lose his last, somewhat controversial fight.

But, when your favorite guys actually fight the best, this is bound to happen.

When did this happen for you? I get a kind of sick feeling in my stomach, do you?

Seeing Roy Jones go down to Tarver in the second fight was hard. After the amazing career Roy had, to see him go down like that sucked. Everything after that is bad, but seeing him go down that first time was unreal. Especially when you know that Roy at his best would have easily handled Tarver.

I'll never forget that fight. A guy from work had the party, he was one of those Yankees baseball. U of Miami football, Duke basketball type front runners and was running his mouth all week. He was speechless.

I actually met Tarver a while back. He was a really coo guy.. Roy was never my favorite, but that loss was devastating for his fans.

I felt a little bad for Cotto vs Margarito. Not really because he lost but because he put in a good effort, was fighting hard but just had NOTHING left. Gotta be a tough feeling for a fighter knowing that if you can just hold on you're going to win, but simply can't make it to the finish line.

Watching Khan make stupid mistakes and underestimating Danny Garcia was thrustrating as f*ck...

Had Major respect for both Pac and Marquez but was abit more of a pac fan.. but watching Marquez get robbed of his boxing victory in their third fight was so so sad... also my first time experiencing a boxing robbery.

That was an impressive ass beating. I remember randomly finding that on one Saturday afternoon (West Coast). I didn't know much about either guy, but Lacy looked buff, really athletic and Joe Cal looked goofy...until he started firing 100 shots a round.

Khan against Garcia, somehow Prescott and Peterson loses don't hurt as much. Khan totally underestimated Danny and was so sloppy. No one seems to feel the same way but I think Khan wins a rematch.

    Hatton losing to Mayweather also.
