If Garcia And Matthysse Exchange Left Hooks @ The Same Time...

Garcia is being massively under sold by many here. I think Danny can win, not saying he would necessarily but I believe he definitely can.

thing about garcias hook....he sits on it and takes his head off center with the delivery and follow through. peterson squares up and opens up to throw his...that's why he got the worse of it.

 

Garcia USED to miss wildly by a foot with his left hook and would telegraph it. Now its alil more compact and especially if you stand and trade with him its almost a surething he's going to let it fly. Lucas tho is equally dangerous with his straight right and while his opponent is moving away from it defending Lucas brings out the left. Here is where Danny MAY **** Lucas up. If Danny gets by Lucas' right, Danny can beat him to the punch with his own quicker left hook. Only problem is Danny will have to be in the perfect position by sidesteping and catching Lucas as he's raising his head AFTER the right hand and BEFORE the left hook. Or else Lucas will be too low to land on after he reaches in with the right. Danny has some nice double hooks, but Lucas tho is also versatile tho slower he'll be the one backing Danny up, forcing Danny to counter with his hooks and Lucas right hand and brilliant timing esp catching fighters moving away from him will be his key to victory. Both are strong as hell tho. I don't think Lucas will hook with a hooker, but more like hook Danny while Dannys mobilizing, trying to box.

IF they do exchange, perhaps Dannys gets there first, drops Lucas, then Lucas returns the favor. Danny tho would gas out and eventually fight Lucas' fight, get pummeled and stopped. I think a rematch would be in order tho.

 

Yeah his no look hook is lethal,he keeps his eyes off Lucas when they exchange he's going to get hurt.Matthysse ate judahs punches like nothing & will do the same vs garcia.That's not to say garcia can't punch cause he can but Lucas will take his best shots smile & come back with bombs of his own.

Good right straight always lands before a left hook. The incredible chin and power Mathysse has makes him a clear favorite in my eyes.
There is something else Mathysse does in fights. He throws his right knowing he'll miss so he can get countered by the left hook. He immediatly puts his right glove up and swings his hips fast and strong. This is where Danny would fall into the trap.
I seriously give Danny a low chance to beat Mathysse.

 

Matthysse's punches are shorter and much more powerful than Garcia's, plus he has an iron chin, great defense. He will knock Garcia out!!!

 

To me, Matthysse's got a better left hook. Garcia pulls back a long way, winds it up and lets it rip, a wide and (relatively) slow punch. While it's powerful, it means he's open to eating a shot before he lands his. Matthysse's left is tighter, shorter, technically better.

Actually, Matthysse/Garcia could end in very similar fashion to Matthysse/Peterson, where Peterson landed his own left hook but got KD'd at the same moment.
