And he wanted 20 million dollars to fight Oscar De La Hoya afterward and Arum didn't want the fight at all. So Floyd left Arum, fought Baldomir for the same price as Margarito except with the added lineal title and then fought Oscar De La Hoya for 25 million dollars I think anybody in their right mind would have done what Floyd did
No, I already knew that and agree with that, you were very vague in the way you stated your previous assertion. It was the purse contingent on DLH that was the problem, he wasn't being lowballed in his purse offer to fight Margarito, that is what I was saying.
theres a video on youtube were FMJ is talking **** about margocheato and margo comes up to mayweather from behind and mayweather gets shook up real bad... i'd say yes he dodged him... margo was a menace back in the day
Mayweather ducked Cotto and Margarito so bad in 06-07 even Bowe ducking Lewis wasn't that bad. Mayweather in 06: One more fight and I'm done. One more fight and I'm retiring, I got nothing left to prove.
NO. It was all a smear campaign set up by Bob Arum after Floyd left him after their ugly lawsuit. Floyd then signed with Al Haymon and GBP [fight by fight basis]. Haymon and Arum do not do business. Arum knew the fight would never happen, but he wanted to promote his fighter, Antonio Margarito, as the most avoided man in boxing by making him look like he got ducked by one of the best P4P fighters in boxing. He did it with Cotto, and then he did it with Pacquiao. For those of you who watched and followed boxing before 2006, you'd know Arum also did the same exact thing with Mayweather and Winky. Trying to get Floyd's name out in the public by linking his name to the then hot topic that was Winky Wright. It was a fight Arum never intended to make. This was no different from Margarito, Cotto and Pacquiao. Arum never intended to make those fights.
