So I remember Mosley in interviews has said Mayweather and Canelo hit just as hard. So people are making an issue of the weight. How does that statement factor into your opinion about the fight and the weight?

Don't really care to compare the two but I will say Mayweather has better "pop" in his punches than people think. He has very good power, just doesn't use it.

    BS.

Fighters say all kinds of dopey things regarding who hits hardest.

Mayorga said DLH hit harder than Trinidad, Vargas says the opposite, etc. Mosley also said Manny hit him harder than anyone ever had in his career. I'm a big fan of Manny's, but there's no way in hell he hits harder than Prime Forrest, DLH, or even Vargas & Mayorga, all of whom Shane fight.

Also keep in mind that Alvarez had 10 oz. gloves for the Mosley fight, while Floyd got 8 oz. gloves.

Mosley would have got stopped by Ginger if they were using 8 oz. gloves, and he would not be saying Mayweather hit as hard as Alvarez.

No, Canelo would've knocked out Robert Guerrero or, at the least, gave him a TKO.

Mayweather also doesn't have an iron chin, which was shown in the Mosley fight. Canelo has the best chance of beating Floyd compared to anyone at 140-154. People say Lara, but Lara ****ing sucks. Dude got two draws in his two biggest fights: Molina (which he should've lost) and Vanes.

Beside punching power, Floyd might very well be stronger than Canelo.

Ginger should make friends with Dr Hale.

    :patsch

So Canelo is heavier, people say there's too much weight, and you say Floyd is stronger...so what's the problem then?

Anyone who says Floyd hits harder than Canelo is clearly in dreamland...Floyd hits crisply, Canelo has KO power

floyd probably puts more oomph into his potshots than Alvarez who focuses more on combinations.

which is why despite the lack of pace, they respect it

I guess it's about Floyd demanding Canelo to prepare without recent GBP-methods.

So basically there is no advantage for Canelo.

I think everyone would be shocked if an untested kid barely out of his teens beat Mayweather, especially as they have been verified as the same power, yet Mayweather still won't fight?

It's madness as Mayweather isn't being asked to face someone like a prime Pac who he last ducked, he could easily beat Canelo and get crazy props from the average fans, he really does have a glass heart.

No Canelo clearly has more power. He weighs 20 pounds more than PBF on fight night of course he has more power.

    There's a solid 20lbs difference here.

    Canelo wouldn't touch Mayweather, however.

It's the gloves. Huge difference between 8 oz and 10 oz.
