Margarito was offered a fight. And Arum refused to let Margarito take it, and made him stick with his Gomez PPV.

You are wrong on the first part, quoted from ESPN:

The red line clearly shows Arum saying Floyd offered to accept that fight, the rest of the underlined material shows Arum was blatantly trying to prevent the DLH fight. Floyd went on to make 25 million, and became the biggest draw in boxing.

As for the loaded wraps, that part you're right about, you already know I was the one who make the big thread detailing how erroneous the allegations were. Besides that, Margarito's best win at the time was Kermit Cintron, he wasn't the top prospect available.

Notice all posts defendin floyd saying he did not duck marg are all backednup with factual evidence ... Then on the "yes he ducked him" side all you get is emotionly charged tirades...

If ducking was an offence and this went to trial... You know which side would win

But it isent and there is no winning on the internet with people so emotionly invested in hate. Bob arum has been in the game way to long, he knew exactly what would make may look bad and fool (only) the casual fanbase

    And it worked

Floyd uses money as an excuse to dodge opponents - he did it in the past when he was with Arum and then when he was his own boss where he had a much bigger share of the purse he still used that excuse to dodge Pacquiao - it's easy to say "it's not enough money" and then claim you wanted the fight...Floyd has dodged opponents throughout his welterweight career with his excuses, inactivity and "retirement"

This. Even Mosley was in the mix back then. Floyd seemed to take a hike when the best probable opponents were making noise. There's a pattern here...

I wouldnt call it a duck. Margarito doesnt bring super money to the table, so its somewhat justifiable for Money May to chase the money. But this is why it is not justifiable that he didnt fight Pac, and even for Alverez. Floyd said hes not chasing legacy, so its expected that he chase the money.

People just need to listen to his interview with Merchant after the Hatton fight - it's clear as day he was running

ok so explain to me how arum saying 'the money isnt there' for a cotto or hatton fight (which was even less than margarito and baldomir and oscar) yet the money is there for margarito and baldomir?
