How many times has Froch been hurt before?

I can only recall a few occasions where he's been properly hurt despite his poor defence:

Kessler - that overhand right that split his nose staggered his legs and also a lead left hand jab which rocked him in a middle round. (Body shots throughout the fight had Froch's attention)

Dirrell - 2 left hands in the 10th or 11th round, one to the chin and one to the temple shook him up.

Taylor - right hook hurt him before the overhand right that put him down.

But I can't remember any other times although Froch always goes on about Robin Reid's power

Froch has never been what I would describe as "shaken" by a punch but obviously he's felt the weight of plenty. His problem is although he has a great chin he leaves it out to be hit. If he wants to beat Kessler he needs to adopt similar tactics to the Bute fight and just make sure they land, rely more on speed rather than putting power into every shot. If Froch is vulnerable it is to the body and that is what Kessler will target. He'll use the left hook to Froch's body.

Surely he must have felt some of Pascal's punches

He seemed to take Pascal's power no problem, he admitted that Johnson hit very hard, he was probably around 185lbs in the ring mind you

He took a couple of brutal right hands from Johnson but they just bounced off him, I really can't think of a more proven solid beard in boxing at the moment.

Robin Reid hurt him, froch admits it was the hardest punch he has ever been hit with. I think a bute body shot hurt him but he just walked through it with a barrage of punches to hide the fact it hurt.

Froch lost that fight. Was a point taken away from him? :think (take down, punching after the break)

No. Abraham only landed a couple of clean power shots towards the end of the fight, and all they did was remind him not to get complacent.

Johnson still had something to offer in that fight, and Froch did well to get him under control. If that had been the same Johnson that Groves fought, then Groves would have had a very hard night indeed.
