He battered Ortiz into submission, and was the first guy to properly stop Jesus Soto Karass, who has a solid chin. Plus he has 30 KO's in 33 fights, not bad for someone who can't punch. Saying Maidana isn't a heavy hitter is just revisionist stupidity. The one thing he does right is hit ****ing hard.

Who of great signifance has Matthysse knocked out? The best guy that he stopped was Peterson. Peterson drew with Ortiz. Ortiz was knocked out by Maidana.

Ok, let's talk facts. Fact, Judah won against Matthysse. Fact, Khan won against Maidana. Those are the facts. You are entitled to your opinion on who you think should have won and why they won. You are not entitled to your own facts as it pertains to who actually won the fight.

I'm trying to think when I wrote any thing about Matthysse in this thread. And Ortiz quit. There's a big difference.

Doesn't matter how you try to dress some thing up. He hasn't knocked any one out who is of great significance. Plus he hit khan with a couple decent shots and couldn't put him down. If he were a "monster puncher". Then he would have knocked him out.

Let me spell it out then. You say Maidana isn't a monster puncher because he hasn't knocked out anyone of great significance. Well, many people consider Matthysse to be the hardest puncher in the sport. By your logic, Matthysse is far from a monster puncher because he hasn't knocked out anyone of great significance. I guess Golovkin isn't a monster puncher either. And Ortiz quit because he couldn't take those big shots from Maidana. That's still tecnhically a knock out.
