Yes, when he says Guerrero won't be a challenge, he only brings attention to what we already know...Guerrero had no business being in the ring with Mayweather, or any elite Welter for that matter.

 

I think that Gary deserves any shot he can get. If Mares wants to give him a shot then that's a plus for Mares and shows that he is down for the sport. On the other hand, if Mares goes in another direction that's ok too cause he has paid his dues and it's time for him to make his work pay big dividends. Gary will just have to fight his way to the top which I'm sure he will. If he keeps running his mouth somebody close to the top will try and shut it and that will be his ticket cause he is ready for anybody at 126.

 

Did you even read what I wrote? Many people that thought Guerrero wouldn't be a challenge thought so regardless of what Mayweather said. But let's say Guerrero said that Mayweather would be easy work and actually beat Mayweather. Would that victory then become less significant? Not many people would answer yes to that question.

 

Considering his level of opposition, Russell's arrogance could cost him if Mares calls him up on it. Whether he thinks Mares is overrated or not, he's at least a couple levels better than anyone Russell's fought and the kid knows how to win wars.

If he thinks it'll be easy, he'll be in for a rude awakening. Win or lose, Mares isn't an easy fight.

 

You're underrating Guerrero. He's not that bad. Fight with him and JMM or Bradley would be interesting.
