    perfect.

it would suck to see cotto get a title shot after losing two wide UD losses.

it also means that canelo will have to defend his belts against another legit contender, probably lara or vanes.

Canelo vs Angulo/Lara it is! Good fight either way! Canelo better be on his game if it's Lara. Angulo's a bit slower, but he could put him to sleep if he really is back to his old self.

Bundrage is ridiculously mediocre. Wide open as hell, sloppy offense, very little in the way of technical skills for the level he's been fighting on. Cotto annihilates him.

Get-well fight for Cotto. He deserves it, dude's been through some wars. Surprised Bundrage hasn't called it a day yet.

I was screaming for this matchup when K9 had the belt. Stupid management is evident here when they picked Trout instead of K9.

Oh well, Cotty by late KO.

K-9 is the worst fighter to ever hold a world title imo. Never saw someone so sloppy with a belt.... it was a disgrace to boxing that he was walking around calling himself a world champ. He's not only a sloppy fighter but he's shot. Cotto is past it a bit but I reckon that Cotto in a wheelchair would still be way too good for any version of K-9. Cotto wins by easy KO. I normally would not be down for a top 154 fighter fighting K-9 but Cotto deserves an easy touch and then he can fight Ishe or Canelo so I'll be ok with Cotto KOing his sloppy ass.

This is a little harsh really, what more do you want from a guy that works hard. Granted not he most gifted or skilled but made the most of what he had to work with, how can you fault him for that?

I am looking forward to this bout, a good payday for two hardworking guys that deserve it. Granted Cotto is expected to win, I hope K9 gives a good effort and we have a decent match up.

I'd be a bit surprised. The winner of Smith/Molina will be a better litmus test and come with a strap.

Still, Cotto can sell out a NYC venue fighting just about anybody.

definitely harsh hahaha my bad, came accross more disrespectful than intended.

you're right, he's got bigger balls than me for sure, I just hate watching wild fighters, tighten your **** up!! I'd rather watch a boring spoiler type like Abril/Molina/Vazquez than a sloppy K-9 type.

God bless Cornelius "K9" Bundrage..he is the kind of fighter that makes this sport.

He is pretty damn god awful though..To tell you the truth even Smith would have been bordering on acceptable for Cotto, this is just a weird fight.

A weird fight I will watch though.

That's the thing. I don't think he wants litmus tests at this point. He wants to create buzz for a big fight. Losing will accomplish nothing and that's a real possibility against Smith or Molina.

k9 lost his leverage along with losing his belt. cotto should fight ishe smith instead and once he wins, cash in on a big unification fight against canelo...win or lose at least his last fight would generate $$$$$$$
