Can Pacquaio/Rios draw more PPVs than Mayweather/Jesus?

I think there is a good chance for that. Rios was never on PPV but he is popular in the Mexican-American community. There is no secret that the majority of people who buy Pacquaio PPVs are Filipino/Americans and Mexican/Americans.
Manny lost his Starpower but Filipinos wanna see how much their Hero has left and Mexicans are always ready to drop 60 Bucks to see a war.

HBO 24/7 will be much better than the recent ones where all they showed was Manny being a christian and doing some holy ****. This time HBO has much more to work with. Showing Jinkee thee KO again and make her Cry, showing Rios mocking Roachs Parkinsons and all the trash talk that comes with it etc etc.

    Thoughts?

I doubt it. Pacquiao's popularity is waning and Rios is nowhere near the draw Top Rank likes to pretend he is.

Your leaving out one factor, the fight is in China, Zou will be on that card, how many viewers do you think we are going to get? allot more than the 600k that tuned in to watch Floyd

    It'll do about 500,000.

Pac still has a decent following. Rios, on the other hand, is not a draw at all. Bob Arum says he is, but there is no evidence to back that up, and he has never headlined a major PPV.

The 24/7 will bring some heat based on the items you highlighted. I just don't see this as a big draw. There will always be die hard fans of PAC that will buy no matter who he fights. ****, I bought the last Floyd fight and I think Roger would had done a better job than white Ghost boy:lol:

I thought the comparison was American buys. Of course Pacquiao essentially fighting on a Zou undercard will draw a shitload of viewers in China.

Rios has the style and personality to be a great foil to Manny. The intrigue of Manny coming off the KO will definitely boost viewership. I expect around 1.2M buys for a huge event.

What will be the local time of the fight in China I wonder?

And I'm going to be pissed if one of the four televised fights is a 4 round Shiming vs. cupcake. Better give the PPV telecast 5 fights.

yes, pac is still the most exciting fighter in boxing because of his style, history, recognition and accomplishments. he is now hbo's biggest draw and they are going to do everything they can to outdo showtime and their dissapointing mayweather show.

As for the thread, they will probably do around the same numbers.

Intrigue of China adds some spice to it as well as Rios being "a bigger draw" than Guerrero.

    I'd guess it'll do 800k.

Pac is still a megastar. It's not like Floyd blew away Pac's ppv numbers. I think this fight will do something in the range of Floyd/Guerrero because fans are expecting a barn burner.

I think it will do similar numbers to Floyds ladt fight. Unless Bob actually loosens up his money pouch and pays for a decent under card for one of Pac's fight.
