canelo should refuse to weight in on fight night against Mayweather

He does need him, say years down the road Canelo turns out to be as good as his fans claim people will say that he should have fought PBF, who was on top of the sport at that time.

He dont need him there is so much solid opposition right now at 154 he can make a name for himself simply by doing something Floyd has never done, Fight all of the biggest challenges take on all the threats while they are threats.

Floyd doesnt want this fight its obvious and he will only show interest in this fight if he pulls a Manny Pacquiao like weigh in clause move. Canelo should just move foward and let Floyd finish out his career with PPVs that flop against bums who cant draw.

Wrong! PBF is on top of the sport and Canelo is the challenger it's up to Canelo to fight PBF on his terms not the other way around that's the way the sport works. Just like PBF went up to fight Oscar on his terms Canelo must fight PBF on his. It's not up to the top dog to call out people he's already proven while it's up to Canelo to make a name for himself and create his own leagcy.:deal

 

Lara is the only fighter other than Cotto, Canelo and Trout who's worth a damn at 154. Kirkland is exciting but garbage and Molina is a spoiler. Try selling this to someone who doesn't know better because I do.

 

Canelo is the WBC 154 and WBA regular champion, he's no challenger. This is champion v champion...Floyd is the big star in the sport, so he'll dictate the purse, but Canelo is not a chump like Guerrero or Ortiz - he's a young, hungry champion with his own big following! I know what Kirkland and Molina are, thanks - point is Molina beat Lara - Canelo beating these guys ensures he "cleans out 154"...you have to fight ALL contenders to be recognised as the best, something Floyd should have taken more note of in his post-DLH years

 

You act as if beating no hopers like Molina and Kirkland enhance his resume. They don't they're just stay busy record padding fights. They do nothing for him. I agree that a Lara fight would do something for him manly because I think Lara holds the styles advantage there but pretty much everyone else there other than possibly Cotto who would be a good name is a waste of time.
