You can't create a hypothetical and then base your argument on 'Oscar beats him prime', he didn't. You can only criticize him on how well he did in his own era and quite frankly he's done pretty damn good.

Resume wise, Floyd will come nowhere near ODH. Look at what Oscar did from 1994-2004. Now look at who Floyd has been fighting since 2005.

What idiots like you fail to realize is resume means dick when you don't win those fights.:deal If Oscar would have won those fights I'd say he was greater but he didn't and you must hold that against him. If you count loses the same way you count wins Zab Judah based on resume would be an ATG.:deal

You get no credit for fighting the best but losing. The object is to win not lose and people place too much emphasis on Oscar fighting the best. He did but he came up short more often than not and he must be held accountable for that. Other ATGs haven''t come up short as often and won, you have to give them more credit for that. Bernard Hopkins for example is a greater fighter than Oscar. He won more of his big fights than lost.

Whatever you want to think. Aside from Hopkins, ODH has held his own and was on the bad side of some decisions against a much better roster of fighters. With Floyd, since 2005, we gotta make excuses of why he hasn't fought the bigger names at WW. Now, people are saying Canelo is to big for him. I'm sorry, but Floyd ain't no Oscar.

100% the truth Oscar had a fighters mentality he fought twice at Middle weight for **** sakes, keep in mind Hopkins went as far as light heavyweight.

But Canelo well a fighter that is in the same division as Floyd a fellow belt holder in the same division he is just too big for Pitty Boy Floyd:-:)verysad

Jason you should know by now that these ****ers will defend this man til the bitter end they will lie cheat and steal in the name of Floyd.

They have gone as far as to defend a Pedophile who was exposed for having pictures of naked little kids and because he was a Floyd fan they all justified and defended his bull**** even though he was banned permanently

But keep fighting the good fight son....:bbb

A far gone Oscar, who hadn't been the same in years, fought Mayweather to a split decision. Oh I know, the judges didn't know how to score the fight. Use that excuse for that fight, but ignore that Floyd won a questionable decision in the first Castillo fight. Cross dressing Oscar had the guts to face freaking Bernard Hopkins while Canelo is to big for Floyd

Truth is, if Mayweather had half the will to prove he was the best that Oscar had, he very possible could be considered very close to the top of ATGs. Instead, we will always hear why the fights that made the most never happened. Whether it's weight, money issues, a fighter not being popular, not getting along with the promoter, or a million other excuses.

What if Floyd beats Ward by KO and beats Hopkins on points next year?
Surely that would give him a lock for being a top 10 ATG.

Forget it, that would make him top 5 easily

If he had a fighter's mentality then why in the biggest fight of his career did he run for the last half of the fight against Tito? He should have kept fighting but decided to run instead. That's another black mark on his legacy that people like you love to pretend like it didn't happen.

Who has Floyd ducked at welter?
He fought one fight at 154 and beat the best man at that weight.
DLH went to 160 and got a gift against a B level, then got KO by a A level.
Nobody can say Floyd ducked Pac, he just couldn't get to terms with the other side. There was a time when I blamed Floyd but when you think about it...why did manny refused the testing? Why didn't manny do like rigondeaux against Nonito?
What does Floyd has to do to prove he's the best? Fight canelo?... Please.

The fact he had the guts to get in the ring with Tito at that time and outbox him has to be respected. You think any version of a WW Floyd would ever step in the same ring as a 1999 Tito? Really?

Oscar is a bigger man than PBF he has a bigger frame. Lets not pretend like he doesn't. With that said PBF still went up to 154 and fought Oscar on his terms and beat him period end of discussion. Not PBF's fault that Oscar didn't have the same discipline inside and outside the ring. Guys like PBF and Hopkins are cut from a different cloth and will be remembered accordingly for it.:deal
