Better Win between Pacquiao over Morales II or Mayweather over DLH?

delahoya was coming off the w over ricardo mayorga, floyd was moving up

morales was coming off a shutout loss to zahir raheem, moved back down and was stopped

 

Morales was shot, he was ahead after the first 6 rounds but that's all he had left in him. Oscar wasn't shot, Oscar was 3/4 years removed from prime. A past prime Oscar still forced Mayweather to dig deep.

Morales wasn't shot. He was shot when he fought Maidana and Garcia (and he still beat Cano, who is a good young fighter). Morales is ****in' great.

Those fights were the beginning of the end of two great careers. Neither Oscar or Morales did much of note past them. Neither were at their best.

That said, Pac knocked out a guy who had previously beaten him. Mayweather eeked out a decision.

I think the more resounding victory is Pac's. But I could make a good case for the opposite to be true, too.

 

Morales was a corpse in the rematch. I hate thinking about the weigh ins :-(

One was coming off a decent win and was at his natural weight

The other was coming off a lopsided loss at 135 in which he DIDENT make weight
Then was forced to come back down to 130 for the fight...

Just because someone loses the first fight doesn't make the win in a rematch better. It means more to Pac's legacy that he redeemed the defeat, but the face quality of the win, when and how, doesn't quite match up to May/Oscar. Close and comparable though...

Well it's pretty easy, it's De La Hoya. He was coming off a lay off, hurt and knocked out Mayorga so bad, to this day Mayorga says De La Hoya was the hardest puncher he fought, and the guy fought Trinidad, Mosley Cotto, Vargas who were monstrous punchers. But yeah DLH beat a champion in Mayorga before the Mayweather fight. Morales lost to a contender a no name in Zahir Raheem.

Only birdbrain anti-Floyd fans would say Pacquiao's win was better, and there's a lot of anti-Floyd fans, so I expect Floyd to lose on the poll.
