Wlad-Takam in Dec 2013-Mar 2014. This time Wlad fights in France. Hopefully I'm wrong and Wlad fights Pulev around then instead.
Fair play to Takam, seems like a solid, hard-working, if unspectacular inside fighter. He's definitely a top 50 fighter, and he's 32 so needs to start taking meaningful fights. As for Grant, he must surely retire, looked awful throughout and offered nothing. Takam the new WBF champion!
He was doing almost nothing beside pushing the frenchie away and unleashing like once or twice maximum per round a straight. Takam left hook was finding the target every time.
Takam caught Grant with a beautiful left hook which pretty much took everything out of Grant and then Carlos just blew him away on the ropes untill the ref stopped it in the 8th rd. Looks like Takem moves into the Top 20 Heavyweights and should be matched with a Top 10 Heavy next.
No. He spent the entire fight being roughed up on the inside and only his chin stopped it ending earlier.
Yeah, but was he ever close to bagging a share in any round or was it a shutout where each one was a landslide for Takam? Did he ever rattle Takam?
Takam has yet to fight anyone in the top 50. He's not yet a top 20 HW, would like to see him fight someone like Kevin Johnson to determine if he is top 20 or not.
Granted (no pun intended) I didn't catch this...but even dominating/shutting out/stopping Michael Grant in 2013 shouldn't in and of itself propel you into the top 20. :think Not without any other accomplishments to justify such high ranking...and really this doesn't even count as his best, more like a lateral move from beating Oloukun and Botha...
Are there 20 Heavyweights better then him? He's better then the likes of Pianeta, Warzyk, Franklin Lawrence, Wach and Dimentrenko.
Plenty of fights out there for him. IDK if I think he should try a top 10, but he should definitely look for someone under 40:yep
