    Really?

That sounded like excuses worthy of a screaming crying smiley face?

I think somebody didn't like the response...

Hmm...the whole BALCO thing you mentioned with his movement from 135-147 makes me doubt Mosley in 2000 even more now..

Most of your names are either loses or past their prime boxers.

Guerrero, Ortiz and Cotto wouldn't have won a significant fight in Oscar's era at 147 and you know it.

    Define significant?

Because I certainly think they'd go far from only-defeated against Oscar's resume at WW.

Prime Quartey, Mosley, Vargas, Trinidad, DLH, Tszyu, Forrest, Mayorga would all beat the snot out of them.

Will be or are in the HOF:
Oscar - not in prime, not in prime weight class
Mosley - not in prime, not in prime weight class
JMM - not in prime although oddly debatable, not in prime weight class
Cotto - not in prime, not in prime weight class
Hatton - in prime, not in prime weight class
Gatti - not in prime, not in prime weight class although debatable

Are fringe or debatable enough to be in the HOF:
Genaro - not in prime, in prime weight class
Corrales - in prime, in prime weight class
Castillo - in prime, in prime weight class

There is a reason why few people hold wins over multiple prime top tier opponents. Because it wouldn't be their prime if they got their ass kicked relative to times of their career where they were kicking ass and not getting their ass kicked, now would it?

Oscar fought Kostya and Forrest? That's news...

And was Mosley prime? Since some could argue that his peak was at LW, two divisions and then three divisions below in their rematch.

And was Mayorga prime when Oscar fought him? I think not.

Those are fighters that would beat the **** out of Mayweather's best wins during Oscar's era at WW.

I had specifically asked about the fighters on Oscar's resume, when he fought them.

What you said has no real relevance.

two things I think factor into this discussion I think should be noted that might have given Oscar an advantage relative to his career one would be his gold medal that allowed him to be put on the world stage sooner he got his first title shot 12 fights into his career Floyd's bronze didn't get his until his 18th. Another factor is his status thinking back on it because he was the golden boy EVERYONE wanted to fight Hoya because what a victory over him was thought to bring with it so he had to fight some of these fighters NOBODY really wanted to fight mayweather till 2.5 ppv with Oscar. Regardless for people who say the fighters on Oscars resume will destroy the fighters on Floyd's resume I can give you 5 50/50 fight's that would be bad ass
Whitaker-Marquez 135-147 two technical masters in the ring
Trinidad-Ortiz 147 there's a chance Ortiz quits theres also a chance he comes in possessed like the Berto fight either way this is a WAR
Mosley-Castillo 135 two of the greatest LW's of this era
    Chavez-Cotto 147 WAR
    Molina-Corrales 135

Did you just try to put Ortiz in a league with Trinidad. The first left hook Tito landed and Ortiz would be out. Give me a break. Damn, people are too generous with fighters nowadays. Tito would kill Victor Ortiz.

lol no dude not at all in terms of historical significant's I think Corrales is on par with Trinidad which I thought Oscar won, I'm saying that Trinidad-Ortiz would be a exciting fight guaranteed to end in ko one way or the other
