I got £10 on Gonzales by KO at 15/1. KOd all of his opponents in the past 5 years barring a loss against Stevenson. Groves ain't that durable. Unlikely, but worth a tender pop for me.
Not a bad bet at all...Gonzales is much better then people are giving him credit for especially going 12 rds with a peak Felix strum in 2007 and Stevenson can knock out anyone if he connects on their chin. Groves has been fighting complete scrubs lately and a fighter can get used to fighting at that level so fighting someone above scrub level can sometimes surprise them. Having said that i still expect Groves to win by about the 7th rd.
Ok thanks... so it has to be Kessler to win by KO in rounds 4-6 and not 4-8? shame as wanted those extra couple rds just in case but still worth a tenner at 50-1 for the double if you can afford to lose £10 and not even flinch.
If it goes the distance and is anywhere near close I can't see it going against Froch. A little home cooking maybe..
Been considering this for a while, made a little profit on the in-play cricket today so gonna use that to bet... thinking: Kessler Decision Chilemba Decision That is with my head rather than my heart, would love to see Bellew win but just can't see what more he can do, Chilemba is a very impressive and slick fighter. Gonna add Bayern Munich to win the Champions League into it as for me they are just too strong. The treble is around 31/1... not bad. Also tempted to back the draw in both the Bellew and Froch fights just in case!
bellew points & froch 4-6 is 24/1 bellew points & kessler 7-9 is 36/1 not sure what im going to go for yet, might have a punt on both get on bayern munich to win in 90mins to get much better odds
I've done exactly this bet. Froch and Chilemba stoppages, hail mary odds. Obviously its a big ask, but not that big. I think Froch getting the stoppage is the best probability of all the results in that one. Chilemba getting a stoppage is very unlikely but not 10/1 IMO, Bellew could walk onto one and rematches are good for fighters like him.
Going 12 rounds with Sturm ain't a great achievement. Felix isn't exactly a killer in there, with the exception of the Zbik fight he's happy to coast to a points win if its there for him. Plus all he does is 1-2's down the pipe, if you're setting your stall out to go 12, that's not a tough skillset to come up against. Think that one will be over in the first 5 for Groves, I'd also expect that guys power is not very legit.
Chilema decision is 11/4 that is easy money, forget doubles just put it all in that, he only loses by robbery
