Evander hits a little too hard for Kens chin but more of an accumulation stop, late 8-12

Your right Bummy..Holy hits too hard for Ken to withstand an inside brutalization..(which it would come to Holy forcing Norton to fight Evanders fight...:yep

A better boxer in what way...Dont just drop something like that and not explain yourself...Give reasons why Ken was the better boxer.

Evander would win by late TKO I think. Norton's style with his arm defense/cross allows Evander to land his body punches and then come upstairs and hurt Norton. This prediction might surprise some people.

and Evander was stronger at heavyweight than anyone gave him credit for. Even that fight in 1990 with Dokes. I think it was 1989 or 1990. It was a brawl and Dokes is a big strong guy, and Evander fought with him and knocked him out. I met Dokes about 1991 or so when I lived in California. That guys was big. To me he was anyway.

I see this as a damn good fight, why ? Because Norton was a tough dangerous dude against everyone except the heavy-handed nagers, Foreman, Shavers even Cooney late in his career.I agree with Southpaw that there are many similarities between the two, physically. The boxers couldn`t keep Norton off with just a jab, that cross-armed defense was great for parrying the jab, and he also leaned back on that splayed right foot putting him further out of range. Norton also had that looping overhand right that he could maybe sneak behind Holy`s sometimes low hanging left hand. This is a fans kind of fight, Holy unable to just outbox Norton, has no choice but to go to war with him... Honestly, this goes either way. Norton was a strong, very physical fighter, maybe a little moreso than Holy. Norton wins the first fight SD, Holy wins the reamtch by making just enough adjustments to get Norton the second time around... Absolutely great fight !!

Geez, as I go back and read some of the posts, I can`t say definitively who takes this... It goes the distance I feel. Norton had Futch in his coner HUGE plus... I am sure he would devise a battle plan to give Holy problems. Thing is with Norton, if you couldn`t blow him out right away, he could give you major problems...

Good call MAG, Holy was very strong for his size and he didn`t get outmuscled in the ring with anyone either ...

Evander pounds Norton out. Evander much better chin and he's pretty damned fast too.

Evander "Real Deal" Holyfield vs Ken Norton: These two against each other used to make for a real great fight against each other for me on the old original "Knockout Kings" video game, that's for sure!

    Evander Holyfield.

Hand faster hand speed, tougher, better boxing ability, better jab, better combination punching, more athletic and better movement.

It would be a exciting fight but Holyfield wins 12 round decision.

"THEY DON'T HAVE SIMILAIR STYLES, WHAT THE **** ARE YOU ON ABOUT..?"

I'd say the Douglas version is probably the sharpest quickest version of Holyfield and he would be too damn sharp for Norton. I'm not convinced Norton is necessarily be stopped but he would lose.

exactly. I remember when he fought Tyson. All of a sudden he was stronger than Mike on the inside. He is one of the only guys to really grow into a legit heavyweight, although at heavyweight he was not as great defensively as he was at cruiserweight, which was probably offense being his defense.
