How good is Vasyl Lomachenko?

Again, I never said the kid wasn't going to be good, but your extrapolation of where he will likely end up is just premature and silly, IMO. The fact that the guy has a tight high guard in every fight yet no opponents go for looping type punches to get around that guard indicates to me his opponents are not that good. The fact that with that tight high guard, when he comes in covered up and somewhat laying on his opponent, no one works his body at all, tells me his opponents aren't that good. They just keep trying to head hunt at a quick guy who uses darting in and out movement. Besides, the guy fights with bigger gloves than he will in the real pros so how is chin holds up to smaller gloves and real punchers has yet to be seen.

IMO, the guy fought 400 AM, going almost undefeated, and he still ends up in something like WSB instead of turning "proper" pro tells me he is somewhat protected.

Also, tell me all of the great AM Cuban boxers that ended up backing up their AM records in the pros? Don't give me the whole communism thing because we've had great cuban baseball players coming on these shores for decades now.

 

Rig shows skills but I have my doubts. Gamboa has been ducking and dodging for years. Cassa was good, but not some great. Like I said, that's 3 out of how many great Cuban AM boxers?!
