Of his 18 defeats 11 are by KO/TKO!!!! :-( Not to mention the other 70 or so fights that he's taken a beating in but won. Add on to that all the sparring he has done.... He is going to be joining Mr Goodridge soon... Lynchburg
Plus the first fight with Kyle was ruled a NC because Kyle KO'd him just slightly after the bell. So that's another documented knockout, even if it isn't on his record.
:-( Is he that poor that he needs to keep doing it or do you think he has nothing else going for him so he just fights for the sake of fighting. The guy has nearly 100 fights!!! Why do that?! Lynchburg
Hard picks this week, and a phenomenal card IMO: Roop the skeleton versus a man we ain't seen for years, hard pick but I'm hoping Bowles can show he's still around. JDS Vs MARKUUUUU HUNTUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!! Man, I want JDS to win and set up the rubber match with Cain. Cain saw what Junior had to offer, improved his gameplan and won decisively. Junior showed he can survive a pummeling and is a 3D fighter. He deserves a chance to make the adjustments. Mark Hunt is a favourite of mine (and everyone's it seems) and is a phenomenal counter puncher and nails. So much better than Nelson so he is unlikely to absorb as much. I think JDS will try and take Hunt down, but shy of going for JDS SUB2 (OMOPLATA) I fancy him to pepper the Super Samoan, move around and not get lured into any big shots and use his superior gas tank (it's a concern, but not as much as Hunt's) to get the W. Glover Vs Te Huna is my most anticipated bout of the card. Te Huna has the heavier hands and more complete boxing game, and has shown time and time again he is one of the more resilient tough guys plying his trade today. Glover has the better grappling game, so I think he'll try for top control and sub Te Huna. But I dunno', I think James has more to him at the moment than Rampage and Maldonado, so I think he can brave the storm and put it on Glover late. A fan of both so I don't care who wins. Maynard loves a scrap, and T.J Grant will oblige him. I see Maynard stuggling to impose himself on such a varied operator, and Grant's Muay Thai will smash him up I reckon. Wouldn't be surprised to see Gray go back to his wrestling but I think he's fell in love with banging now and Grant will be happy to let him bang, bro, and use his precise striking to chop Gray down. Great fight, and the winner deserves a shot at Bendo. Pyle is a renaissance man ain't he? But Story is a tough little ****er so whereas others couldn't finish the job I think he will, absorbing Pyle's last gasp bombs and grinding him down to a wrestle-box stoppage. Holloway is a gangly prospect I really like (was convinced he'd smash Lawrence and he did) but Bermudez seems to be improving all the time, showing toughness and a decent all-round game, but more importantly a solid wrestling game. I think he'll mix it up, keep putting Holloway on his back and pound him out. Great fight though I'm sure. I'm really not enthused by Stephens and I hope his weight cut does nothing for him and he loses.
