You always have the weight drain to color this fight. I always liked Chad, but I always had my suspicions about his real heart. But, I'm not sure it was all Chad's heart in losing that fight with Andre. I haven't seen the fight again, but I remember Chad just getting out boxed and worked. Maybe it was the lack of heart to push forward and give it everything or maybe the cut in weight just left him with little to push forward with, in conjunction with some "weak hearted" foundation. With that said, I would have liked to see this fight.
Based on what? his boring win against statue Green? his controversial win over blind ring rusty ruined Kessler? his life and death tussle with shop worn Bika? his loss to shoe salesman Boone, his win against ruined MW Abraham, or his win against the slowest version of the slowest SMW champion of all time whic was far from impressive. I wonder how many people would have said the same about B-Hop beating Taylor too.
I think Taylor would have given Ward some trouble. Regardless of the Hopkins outcome, the fights were very close. He was ahead of Froch before blowing the fight in the 12th. He was hammering Pavlik and nearly stopped him before he was caught. Draw with Winky. I'm not saying the guy was a great, but he was damn good in his prime.
Taylor won both fights with Hopkins...clearly. He'd give Ward a ton of trouble early, as Ward depends on outjabbing his opponents, and Taylor's left is faster and longer...but he will fade and Ward will take over. Taylor SD in a highly controversial decision.
New boxing fans. Obviously dont remember Taylors championship credentials were being questioned after struggling with Ouma, Wright and Spinks even before being kod by Pavlik
And Boone KD'ed and beat Ward, Taylors best wins are light years ahead of anything Wards ever achieved. ''Hey Kaseem Ouma outboxed Taylor, noway is he surviving against ATG Hopkins''....see how that worksatsch
Compare the guys Taylor was stopped by to Ward in terms of power, he got stopped by some of the biggest punchers in the game, to say Ward stops him is a bit much.
no, thats not how it works ward being knocked down by someone in his 7th or 8th fight isnt the same as J Taylor being taken 12 rounds by a junior middleweight in a title fight most people think he lost sorry, try again
Good fight id say close decision 7-5 to Taylor Also Taylor had a chance to knock Ward out he's fast enough to catch Ward and has power early
