    I think Groves is as ready as he ever will be, his opponents on the other hand are no where near that level.

    The replay clearly shows that Noe guy wasn't out of the fight. Yes, slightly woozy but he was up at the count of 4. Seen too many fighters survive worse. British stoppage for sure.

    That would be a curious long-form reversal in roles...

    Stieglitz for a long time during his reign was the boxer cast against numerous punchers/brawlers, while Groves was billed on the way up as something of a KO artist.

    Should they meet now, Groves would be the boxer and Stieglitz the puncher/brawler.

    The thing is Alcoba was not even good when he was in his prime. So beating this guys wont prepare you very well.
    Stieglitz is the weakest champ. But even Stieglitz would be on a total different level.
    Very high workrate, decent guard, decent power and probably his biggest strength are his fast hands. But yeah maybe you are right and Groves is at his best right now so it would make no sense to wait any longer.
