113-115. To me that was everything right and wrong about Boxing in one night. At one point it seemed Jim Watt was giving points to Carl for 'taking shots well'. The first six rounds were not hard to score at all, 3-3 a piece I am sure most of us agree. From that point on I believe if you are scoring on Defense, Clean Punching, Effective Aggression and Ring Generalship you give the fight to Kessler. The computer does not tell you a thing about the quality of the shots. It is the most farcical way of looking at a fight. Anything other then a Jab is classed as a power shot.
Sorry I respect anyone's opinion and you seem genuine unlike some but I had froch by 2 in a close fight
You know what, i tend to agree with you even though i gave Rd 12 to Froch. Froch was swinging wildly in that last rd but mostly missing wheras Kessler landed with some good shots. Tend to think the Ref really gave the impression that Froch won that rd more then he should have. Will re-watch the fight with sound turned down and re-score the fight although i still think i'll have Froch just winning by a point/round.
115-114 Froch. Froch was nowhere near as far ahead as the one judge made out. A round or two more for Froch maybe. But 8 rounds was pathetic. Mind you, you don't expect anything less from judges these days. Froch threw lots but missed lots, but he made a lot count to. Kessler didnt throw as much, but he was the cleaner and tighter fighter after the first 3 rounds. He pulled it back and I had it all level going into the 12th. But Carl pulled it out in that last round like he did in a few other rounds in the fight he dominated. 115-114 Froch. But I wouldn't argue if you gave Froch another round or two.
Right, because it was a clear cut victory for Froch? How about dealing with my arguments instead of throwing insults.
Well considering you are going against the overwhelming majority, you can't be surprised that some would react in this manner. You're only the second person on either the Brit or general forums who scored the fight in Kessler's favour.
I honestly think Kessler and his corner as well as the rational Danish fans will agree froch won decisively enough In a competitive bout I think boxing has a problem, any fight is now called a robbery
People do not score fights on the four factors you are supposed to. It makes no difference whether you are in the majority if you are scoring points for non-existent reasons. Not saying you are doing that but some are.
