Anyone else get the impression that Froch doesnt want to fight Ward ANYWHERE?

Pretty much this, I think Froch knows Ward's style is all wrong for him and would rather earn great money putting on fights like tonight against opponents with a similar fan friendly style.

He's got a choice of Groves or Kessler next, maybe even Hopkins if he wants a big name scalp. Ward on the other hand really hasn't got anyone and I can't see Chavez Jr having much interest in a fight with him either.

Yeah, but lots of times in those situations guys, start yelling "I want Mayweathr/Ward/Klitschko/Martinez/ whoever"

He didnt seem too interested in saying he wanted to fight the only other guy with a W over him and who is considered the man in his division and who happened to be in the building at the time.

I'm saying Ward wants Froch, but is not prepared to fight in the UK with him (hence why I think he'll price himself out), and is looking to get him in the States.

And Froch definitely doesn't want Ward, unless it's in circumstances where he feels he has a chance (in the UK). If that can't happen, he won't be upset by it at all. He'd rather not have to deal with him.

Too early to judge anything at this point. He just finished off a fight where he exchanged insane blows against another A class fighter. After some rest he will come out with his future plans. That said, I don't think anyone sane would honestly think Froch is scared of anything.

Froch wants none of Ward. Interview proved that.

Interviews prove everything, don't they? Especially immediately after big fights.

Reads like you think both want the fight on their terms ie home country but are not prepared to travel for it, yet its Froch that definitely doesn't want Ward.:think

    Agenda maybe?

Froch is a hell of a fighter. Tough as nails, awkward, excellent chin and exciting to watch. He would undoubtedly rule 168 if it wasnt for Ward. Ward is just on a different level than he is and he knows it. No harm in that.

Why take a sure loss if you don't have to? Everyone knows Froch can't beat him, and he's making good cash anyway.

No, it reads like how I wrote it. Ward wants the fight in the States and will be upset if he doesn't get it. Froch will grant him it (but only in the UK), but unlike Ward, he will not be upset if it doesn't happen.

To avoid further confusing you, I'm simply saying: Froch wants it less than Ward.

And yes, just like you, I do have an agenda. Only difference is that mine is to tell the truth, and yours is to convince yourself that Ward being the number one guy of the division and being levels above Froch who he's already schooled once, means nothing.

I was born in Limerick, lived there until I was 21, went to NY(and a little while in London) for about 6 years and came back home last year.

    Ill repeat,whats so funny?

Froch wants it less than Ward, but losses nothing if the fight doesn't happen.

I think Froch will fight Ward again but he'll have another couple of fights first to build his stock right back up, then cash out with the Ward fight. One thing you can never accuse Froch of is ducking but I get the feeling that he knows Ward is all wrong for him and would like to take a couple of big money fights with minimal risk to keep his stock high. I expect him to fight Groves next.
