His fight with Froch, if it ever takes place, better not be in Jokeland is all I have to say. If Ward comes at Froch with that ****, Froch better just take the fight with B-Hop.
He's not bitching about them, mate. He was simply being asked about them, and he gave some reasonable answers. He's the number one guy of the division, he's beaten both Froch and Kessler comprehensively, and he's on contract with the biggest and best boxing network in the world. Those reasons are good enough for him not to be forced into coming to the UK.
He's number one granted, but networks mean ****, we're talking numbers and Andre can't draw flies to ****. Listen to his interview tonight, did he sound like the undisputed number 1 in the division ? sounded to me like he was begging Froch for a rematch.
Of course, I don't know what the exact difference in numbers would be if we compared what Ward gets with HBO fighting in their prime time, to fighting Froch in the UK with double the gate. But that contract with HBO ensures Ward isn't getting paid the peanuts we often assume he is. An regarding his interview, I only listened to his HBO one. Not Sky. And in the HBO one it sounded like he was definitely interested in Froch, but he doesn't feel like he needs to be made to come to the UK.
I understand Ward is the man and Froch should make a concession. But why not fight in England? That's a great boxing atmosphere where the fans bring electricity to the arena. It'd be a great event for the sport of boxing. I don't see it as giving Froch an advantage. I see it as materializing an exciting event in a big venue. I say this as a Ward fan. Judging by what I saw earlier today I honestly don't think Froch has anything that would trouble Ward. So it doesn't matter where they fight. Might as well go with an attractive venue.
If you can't beat him based on actual boxing ability and style, you might as well pick on venue/location out of desperation.

I'm sorry Ward is head and shoulders above the best in his division and owns the legitimate super middleweight title of the world. I understand this is a difficult thing for people to accept and they have my condolences in this darkest of times.
