Really enjoyed the fight last night , had it a point to Froch , but thought the better work came from Kessler.

But looking at the referee in those last seconds , I think he was going to stop Kessler.

That would have been the worst stoppage I would have ever seen at this level.

    Oh my...

    I am I wrong?

He was going to stop it because Kessler had stopped punching back for a period of time and was taking heavy punishment. Then the Viking Warrior came storming back as he always does and the ref, rightly, thought better of it. No issue whatsoever.

I dont think he was going to stop it. Froch hit him low and the referee was considering breaking up the action.

He wasn't going to stop it I think he was going to give a break for Froch hitting low.

It was a low blow the ref was going to step in for, the ref even gestured to Froch to keep his punches up but when Kessler fired back and knowing the fight was close to finishing he allowed it to continue.

Seemed to me the ref went in to take a real close look at Kessler, which if he didnt he wouldnt of been doing his job properly. He did, saw Kessler was gettin rocked a bit but nothing more and didnt stop it. Nothing to worry about.

Gotta say though for a second it did look like it and as a fan of both i wanted them both to make the final bell.

Oh my cod! At last, another user blessed with the quality of vision - Froch clearly hit kessler under the belt so the ref tried to stop it, but as they were both exchanging shots, with extremely limited time, he decided to let them continue.

It was a bad, bad moment, even for me, and I had money on a Froch stoppage 10-12. It would have been outrageous.

Was wondering if anyone else saw it, all the commentators and pundits missed it, Froch hit him low about 5 seconds before the flurry, Pete was going in to break it up and warn Froch when he opened up and thought better of it as it would have looked a silly thing to do at that point, he was never going to stop it.

That's exactly how I saw it, Froch threw a left low and the ref tried to jump in to warn him but they were banging away so he thought better of it or he might have got himself KO'd :rofl

  15. he wasnt going to stop the fight.

froch hit him with a low blow during his flurry and the ref was going to warn him
