118-110? Who was that judge? Carl's wife or mother? :-(

Kessler WAS NEVER gonna win this fight with that sort of judging, even if he did enough to win the fight. :deal

I had it 115-114 Froch and I watched the fight carefully and fairly. I suppose another round or two for Froch would of been alright on 115-114 though. Self interpretation and all that. Even Kessler admitted this at the press conference. But 118-110 is an insult to the sport, and whoever that was should not be allowed to judge a fight again.

    This is what I had:

    1st - Froch
    2nd - Froch
    3rd - Froch
    4th - Kessler
    5th - Kessler
    6th - Kessler

57-57 at the half way stage.

    7th - Froch
    8th - Froch
    9th - Kessler
    10th - Draw
    11th - Kessler

105-105 going into the final round.

    12th - Froch

115-114 Froch. Close but clear. :deal

    118-110 though? :-( .......discuss.......

every fight nowadays has atleast 1 crackpot scorecard it cant come as a shock anymore

the judges who do it time and time again should just be made to expalin there reasoning after or just ****ed off - but the promoters like to have there bankers onboard

the whole scoring system probably needs a major overhaul but what would you do to simplyfiy and improve it im not sure

115-113 Froch was fair in my opinion. 116-112 is tolerable because there was a close round or two but anything else is OTT

115-113 I have no problem with whatsoever. I had it 115-114 because I scored the 10th a draw. Both men did well in that 10th, but neither did enough to win the round for themselves. They both deserved a 10.

    8 rounds though?

That is an insult to boxing.

All that matters is the right guy gets the win these days. 115-114 is the same as 120-108 in terms of picking the winner in the scoring system.

I never understand the logic of overly wide scorecards being bent, surely if you were on someone's payroll you'd make it close to avoid suspicion not 118-110.

    Just incompetence.

That's a horrible scorecard. Not a chance there was an 8 point gap in the fight.

    It was Adelaide Byrd.

It's quite interesting as she scored Hopkins / Calzaghe for Hopkins, which you would imagine was based on the cleaner work, harder shots etc over activity and aggression.

Last night I felt Kessler landed the cleaner shots and looked the classier operator but was largely outworked by Froch's punch output and aggression.

To be clear - Froch won for me by 1 or 2, but just find it interesting..

It was ridiculous. That judge must have fell asleep after round 3...

    I had it.

    1 - Froch
    2 - Froch
    3 - Froch
    4 - Kessler
    5 - Kessler
    6 - Froch
    7 - Froch
    8 - Froch
    9 - Kessler
    10 - Kessler
    11 - Kessler
    12 - Froch

7 - 5 Froch. Very close fights and a few of the rounds could have gone either way.

That's like the reverse of the card that Kessler got in his favour in Denmark wasn't it? Didn't he get something ridiculous like 118-110 or 117-111 in his favour?

increasingly seems these days that you get 2 respectable (to use the term loosely) cards and then one that's clearly for the 'right' guy on the night.

US TV and others had it 117-111 so its only one difference. Anyway why is this a big deal, didn't a jude have Ward v Froch 115-113, Johnson a draw, Kessler v Froch 1 as 118-110.

As long as the right man wins.

118-110 is a joke, but daft score cards are to be expected as we all know.

I had it 115-113 for Froch

I agree. But incompetent judging like this can screw fights. We've seen it man!

No way was there 8 rounds in this fight, just think about that for a second. In a 12 round fight, baring in mind there was no knockdowns, Carl Froch had to win 10 rounds last night to get 118-110. It seemed pretty clear to me, and consistently across the board, that Froch won the first 3 and Kessler the next 3. So at the half way point most people had it either level 57-57 or Froch 4-2. If you did have it level at the 6th, then that means you can only give Froch 9 rounds, the last 6 plus the first 3 and that Mikkel Kessler won nothing from 6 to 12 and STILL even then Froch would of only had 117 in total, IF you had it level at the 6th! So for 118-110 - Kessler only won 2 rounds in the entire fight? :huh

If you only gave 1 round to Kessler from 6-12, then you was watching a different fight! It seems that some people including maybe even that judge, gave him nothing from 6 to 12 and just 2 rounds between the 4th and the 6th! At least a couple or a few rounds between 6 to 12 Froch didn't do enough to win, was made to miss a lot by Kessler's movement and defence, and Kessler landed the better punches and did the tighter and cleaner work.

No way was this an 8 or 7, 6, 5 or 4 round fight.

3 rounds you're pushing it. 2 rounds maximum.

Froch or Kessler fan or not. 118-110 is laughable! L-A-U-G-H-A-B-L-E
