Cool, now maybe he can just shadow box for the rest of his career while the rest of the division get on with making exciting fights.

So, what, he's just going to retire now that he's done that?

    Maybe. Thats his decision.

Or he could fight Dirrell, Chavez, Dawson at 175, GGG etc

    Who knows.

Fighting the 175 lb champion vs fighting Lucian Bute. lol.

How can British fans be so desperate over this? Can you just not accept that Ward is the better boxer?

It's hard to do so when you're in your Ward pyjamas, so I'll just let you troll the forums

Who cares about being the bigger draw?

I'd much rather be recognized as the best inside the ring.

    Ok, so his choice is:

Get his career high payday and fight in front of the most people in his career against the number two guy in his division who's coming off the back of beating two top 3 SMW's in his last three fights in what would be his best win.

    OR

Fight Dirrell in a fight that draws no real interest from fans, generates no real cash and wouldn't sell out an average sized hall.

Fight Chavez, a guy who's never fought at 168 before.

Fight GGG who is a MW not even proven against world class MWs, let alone never even fought at 168 before.

Or Dawson at 175 which is a decent fight.

I don't quite get your mindset, it's like for some reason you really don't want to see Ward take the most logical fight because it involves traveling.

Why is it that you really don't want to see Ward fight in the UK? Honest question. Just wondering.

I don't think there is anyone who doesn't think that. I mean, unless you can actually link us to where people say Froch is the better boxer?

If Ward wants to come to the UK and pick up the belts against Froch. Great. Id love to see it.

He does not HAVE to travel 5000 miles to beat someone hes already beaten though.

History will not judge him harshly because he doesnt have TWO wins over Carl Froch.

Its actually more logical for Frocj to go to America.

Any true boxer whould want to be considered the No.1 in theirn division.

Froch will never be considered the No.1 in the division until he beats Ward.

From a legacy viewpoint it should be Froch and Hearns doing everything in their power to get another fight with Ward. Ward is considered the No.1 guy and has a win over Froch.
Doesnt Froch want to be No.1?
Doesnt Froch want to avenge his loss?

Anyway, Ward has said that Britain is a possibility, but Hearns needs to pick up the phone and try to get it done.

Does Hearns have the balls to throw his cash cow in with Ward?

    Thats the real question

And it certainly won't judge him any more kindly if he gets a win over Andre Dirrell or GGG at this stage of their careers.

History might well judge him more harshly if he gets a reputation who never once stepped outside of his comfort zone and even turned down career high pay days because it meant leaving his country.

Explain the logic traveling 5000 miles to fight in front of a quiet and disinterested crowd a fraction of the size you fight in front of at home, for a fraction of the money you get paid at home?

Bottom line is if Ward wants to get that ££££ he comes to England. If he turns it down then it's because he's got some serious concerns about travelling.
