The fact that Froch vs Dirrell is the go to robbery/close decision going the wrong way on UK soil every time kind of proves that not many happen there where as if you start listing similar fights in America you would run out of space to post them all in fact the gifts Devon Alexander received alone puts the UK to shame.

And what is it with people and bringing skin colour in to everything when it has nothing to do with it.

I may as well come clean - I actually thought Dirrell would be the one to take the next step and win the Super Six, not Ward.

What I saw in the Froch fight was one of the worst cases of situational awareness I've ever seen in a fight from Dirrell and his team, and it made me furious. Dirrell had the fight there to win if he would've gotten greedy instead of fighting like he was being charged for every punch he threw. Why they decided to fight like they had homefield advantage is beyond me- as I said, absolutely horrible situational awareness. Had the exact fight happened in Michigan, Dirrell gets the decision- but he's got to know you can't rest on your laurels if you're the road man. Boxing just doesn't work that way and everybody knows it.

Don't get me started on what happened after that fight....ugh.

 

Well I'll just say ideally this shouldn't ever happen. If we wanted impartial judges we would have neutral judges and countries if it was in neither fighters hometown. These world title organizations are global organizations so they could order judges from different countries to judge and decide where the fights are held. Unfortunately money has too much influence and I agree most of the worst decisions have been made on US soil because of the amount of money US promoters have.

Because this is a money sport and Ward is the top dog in the situation he should decide where he wants to fight and not risk future pay days by getting jobbed in Froch's hometown. Boxing fans (not Ward or Froch stans) know that Ward is the more skilled fighter and shouldn't have to appease stans.

Ward doesn't even like leaving Oakland to fight, let alone the UK. I guess fighting in China with international judges would be too much for him also?

He lost to Froch, was about to be stiffed by Abraham and took a dive, he then went awol for 3 years.

 

Im friends with Dirrell on facebook and its insane how disinterested this dude is in boxing.

 

No one wants to touch him with a barge pole, very talented but brings very little else to the table.

 

You cam force hands, all you have to do is fight. Even low level bums of FNF. Someone would sign him to a contract. He just doesnt care and spends most of his time with his family on vacation
