cotto already screwed the canelo fight by losing to trout , he will screwed even more by losing to ortiz, and then he wants to get paid more than what he did get against floyd, what is he thinking??

The fight is done, or a fight for ortiz is done with his little tweet to oscar last night.

If ortiz is smart about the weight and comes in at 150 then he could be good enough to seek and destroy cotto. Would be a great fight.

You base that on your opinion?
If he says he's a 154 pounder then he is, his opinion weighs alot more.

I don't like this fight, might be action packed but Ortiz? of all people available. I think its a waste of time and doesn't add nothing to his legacy. He has like 2 or 3 fights left so fight the best and retire. Cotto is not scrambling for paydays. He is very secure financially.

Bring on Canelo or the winner of Marquez-Bradley

i agree. ortiz is complete garbage. he doesnt deserve to be in the same ring as cotto. ortiz is a bum. cotto should retire. he's not big enough for the 154 pound division.

    I'd like to see it...

I don't think either Cotto or Ortiz should be taking any fights other than serious paydays, as I really don't believe they should be boxing much longer.

Don't you think Cotto is entitled to one easy fight after losing twice in a row against two legit opponents?

Yes, after seeing him trying to get Marg to fight at 150 and going on to struggle against a legit 154-pounder (Trout) before being linked with a 147-pounder (Ortiz), it is my opinion that Cotto knows he's better off being matched with guys similar to him in size (welterweights) and that he's not a fully-fledged light middleweight.

The guy is coming off a solid performance over Floyd, and a hard 12 rounds with Trout.

When exactly did he become "shot"?

He's not trying to "Up his legacy" with this fight. It's a make a little money get back on the winning side of the tracks fight, an for those reasons, its a great fight for Cotto. As long as he doesnt have a let down an get beat.

even with ortiz coming up in weight cotto is a short junior middle weight with short arms and is simply not very good at this weight. and yes i know his losses both came at the hands of undefeated guys, but his wins have come against nobodies at 154. ortiz gives him is 3rd loss in a row
