Everytime i hear him say "we need to bring it over here this tkme" its gets to me abit, there are a few reasons. * it makes out to the casuls that are watching/listening that ward got some sort of a gift because it wasin america. * the fight wasnt even in wards hometown * froch got VERY favourable scorecards in that fight despite getting schooled AND THE BIGGEST THING... That pisses me off is i think froch knows if he brought him here he could probably eek out a dirrel'esque gift win, use some tactics he could only get away with in notts and stuff like that. Thefact is if he REALLY wants the rematch he can call for neutralterritory, he either doesnt want it, or wants every advantage in the book if it doeshappen. Again i reitterate, WARD HAD NOT A SINGLE ADVANTAGE IN THAT FIGHT AND WENT IN WITH A BUST UP HAND!!!
I don't think he thinks he won He just looks at positives as you would have to if you are potentially going to face him again
Agreed, he's hardly going to be saying he wants a rematch and 'you know what, I was well beaten, fair enough'.
Said this morning, "lost fair and square". Thinks ward should cum over for a good payday. Hes actually been pretty honest tbf
Carl doesn't claim he was robbed but he does cast aspersion on wards mentality refers to him as been a boxer not a true fighter like kessler and himself but deep down carl has to know thats bull**** ward took him apart it also seemed to **** ward off
I think your looking into it to much. Off course he knows he got beat fair and square and off course he is gonnar talk up a rematch in England, why not?
Carl has every right to demand a rematch over here. People went over and fought Ward in the USA when he wasn't champion, when he wasn't a huge name and for some reason didn't have to leave his home country in the Super 6. Froch has two belts and sells out arenas. Ward would win regardless so it's very much in his court to prove people wrong.
I would truly hope he would get a good payday for Ward to 'cum over' him! But yeah, Froch's a proud tough guy, and the loss must sting, he ain't one say 'oh,yeah...I got schooled by a better boxer'. If he goes in against Ward again, he'll be believing he can win. After all, objectively, everyone's got their match, somewhere..it's just that people who think in those terms rarely get close to the top, especially in combat sports.
Carl has every right to demand it, but Ward can hardly be compelled to accede. That said, I do think Ward would be doing himself a favour, since he's hardly the most sellable guy, and his reluctance to travel is starting to be seen as a little strange....maybe he just likes his mums home-cooked dinners too much. At the end of the day, not many people besides Carl himself, and maybe close family, believe he could take a rematch wherever it was held- he's probably thinking that a UK fight would bring in better money and possibly allow him better terms though.
With everything being equal, Froch knows he can't beat Ward. If somehow Ward grows a set and comes to England. Carl is banking on him being uncomfortable, nervous, edgy etc.... All those sort of things would work in Froch's favour, so that's why he wants it in the Uk
