Does anyone follow women's boxing? Has a women's boxing fight ever been broadcast on HBO/Showtime? Who are some big name female boxers right now?Who are the greatest female boxers of all time? And my most important question:

If a female boxer was recognized to be a superb boxer, should she be allowed to fight top male boxers??

I think they should, the first male boxers to fight really good female boxers would get a lot of criticism, but eventually it will be seen as normal and break the barrier. Whether the women lose or win doesn't matter but it is on the choice of the female boxer to take the fight.

I see someone like Ann Wolfe in her prime giving some contenders trouble and possibly winning. I also accept the fact that on average a women is inferior in boxing to a man, but there are definitely exceptions where a women is extremely good and should fight the best regardless of gender.

You guys are all being idiots. I'm not saying all women should fight men, all I'm saying is that there could very well be a women in the future who is extremely good, but can't prove herself because of the gender line. This women could be on par with lets say the bottom 5 of the P4P list (#5-10), why shouldn't she fight the man?

If some women kick some male boxer's ass (people will see females are not that inferior), and some men kick some female boxer's ass (people will say that a women isn't so weakn and soft) then eventually people will start to be more open to this idea.

You are the ****ing idiot, xRedx. One of the best women fighters ever, Lucia Rijker, fought a man. It was the only time she ever lost to ANY person in ANY kind of fight, as an adult anyway. She was knocked the **** out by a guy who should have been driving cabs. This was the best thread you could think of? LOL! Damn you're stupid.

She's undefeated and is a boxer, don't bring up kickboxing and MMA fights thats BS.

Do you think the worst male boxer can beat the best female boxer?

Too much sexism in this forum. If a women has proven herself to be a great boxer she should definitely challenge the best boxers in the world whether they are male or female.

Katie Taylor is probably the best p4p female boxer in the world, and she decided it was better for her to remain amateur.

Thats how lucrative womens "pro" boxing is.

Obviously it's not lucrative, because it's not recognized at all. I'm just saying the best should face the best regardless of gender. There could be a case of a women being a great boxer but not getting a title shot or recognition simply because of her gender. That is pretty unfair.
