i dont know who would pay for ufc 160 given all the fights were going to be a mismatch

UFC is sucking all your monies dry by putting fights which are actually not even competitive. :rasta

That was an awesome card. Main event turned out as expected but the rest was a classic event.

    False. Here's why:

    1. Champs in each division fight the most dangerous opponents available (ex: Silva-Weidman, Velasquez-JDS, Aldo-Edgar, etc.)

    2. The fights fans want to see do actually happen (Diaz-GSP, Bendo-Melendez, etc.)

    3. If people get subbed or stopped it just means two fighters in the octagon are willing to fight instead of playing it safe.

Do these things exist in boxing? For the most part the answer is NO. I love both sports but out of the two the UFC delivers the most of what's needed.

This thread is a joke. Don't like it, don't watch it. Why do people like to make themselves look like a total dumb ass and think their opinion matters more? There is a lot of **** I see people pay for that I don't get but **** it's there money so I don't give a damn.

Coming in an MMA forum to say it suck and asking why people pay for it makes you look like a total dumb ass.

Floyd Mayweather's record is weak compared to Sugar Ray Robinson. Come back when you have an actual point.

Because they fight better competition. Boxers pad their records and get 30-35 wins under their belts before they actually get in the ring with someone that has a chance of beating them. Cain Velasquez is 12-1 but that is 12 proper, competitive wins from day one. I was the biggest boxing fan in the world but I got sick of waiting 5-6 years for a decent fighter to be involved in decent fights.

Can Velasquez' 11 wins are bums, JDS is his only good win.

Why compare him to another boxer? Weak point.

Nurmagedov vs Trujilo was interesting after Trujilo showed good TDD at leats in his last fight ok it ended up being a mismatch but who could've known for sure, Cerrone vs Noons wasn't a mismatch on papar Noons has power and Cerrone did horribly against Diaz and in his last fight, Maynard vs Grant was interesting you can't say that you thought Maynard was going to get ko'd and Hunt vs JDS was one of the best HW fights in MMA an great stylistical matchup and one of the best standup fights we've seen in MMA. Velazquez vs Bigfoot, Teixeira vs Te Huna were mismatches but that's it
