Froch should move up in weight. But Froch should not fight Hopkins or Dawson. These guys have awful styles for the Froch for the fans. I would love to Froch against: – Tavoris Cloud (great action fight) – Jean Pascal (great rematch) – Nathan Cleverly (great UK / European fight) – Sergey Kovalev (two big punchers getting it on) Hopkins would be a terrible fight for the fans. Dawson would be a terrible fight. I also think an Andre Ward rematch would be awful. Froch should make money with all action fights. Hopkins can’t spell the world action.
I like Froch, agree with nipple etc, time waits for no man.One last fight for biggest purse against easiest opponent.let him enjoy his money...sky etc needs some new pundits!.
He should fight Groves next. It would be a big British super fight and then after that I would like to see Degale in the mix for the winner or some time next year. Ward would beat Froch again, his style is a nightmare for Froch. If that fight gets made and Froch loes, then we don't get to see possible big fights that would be intriguing, i.e. Groves, Degale et al. Froch-Kessler were two great fights, but they should draw a line under it, I thought Kevin Mitchell wrote a great piece about that in the Guardian. Kessler might retire now, he has had a long career with a lot of tough fights.
I'd prefer Ward wherever the hell Ward wants to fight. Carl got the benefit of some seriously bad judging in the US, so he can hardly cry that he didn't get a fair shake. But it's the only meaningful fight for Carl at 168, other than marking time against Groves or similar. And since Carl doesn't want to head up to 175, understandably, there's not a whole lot else to aim for.
How many rounds do you think Froch would win in a rematch? If you were Froch's manager (i.e. from that perspective) what would you plan for his next two or three fights? I think Froch has three fights left (max), Hearn talks about Groves facing Froch in about 2 fights or so, I think he sees Groves as Froch 'cashing out' fight and then for Groves to take over the mantle....
Isn't Steiglitz the WBO Champ? If he cant beat Ward then he may as well try and hold 3 belts!! That or face Martinez (Catchweight) or Chavez Jnr. Big names and these fights would sell. Maybe Froch v Chavez Jnr on the Mayweather v Alvarez Undercard. That would be PPV worthy and would really sell.
I don't think Ward deserves the payday, unless it's in the UK, on Froch's terms ring-size-wise, etc. I want to see Froch fight Hopkins in the UK next. Second choice is Pascal, but Pascal has fought Froch in the UK before...
ward wouldnt do it in england,he aint got the bollocks to come. hopkins is nearly as boring as ward. groves would get mullered early doors,he would never get away from froch and would eat to many right hands. chavez would be a scrap. the rest i don't know much about,so if ward came to england id love that,im possibly in the minority cos ward gets some serious dick sucking on here, but i think froch could beat him over here,he would be well up for it,but we will never know, ward aint got the bollocks
Bizarrely Froch doesn't have that many options: Hopkins won't happen because Carl won't move up in weight (plus its a horrible fight) Ward won't travel (plus it would be a horrible fight) The Groves fight won't work right now. Froch is a worldwide boxing star now, Groves is unknown outside the UK. It's high risk low reward for Froch. Steiglitz works, it's a unification & and an easy sell. Personally if go for Chavez Jnr in Vegas... That would be a toe to toe war which will only help further Froch's 'Warrior' status
See this .Amsterdam a possibility for Froch Kessler 3 . Promoter Eddie Hearn has said that a possible third fight between Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler could take place in Amsterdam. Speaking to iFilm London, Hearn said "Amsterdam was already a venue that we had talked about prior to the result of the fight for a potential spot for Froch versus Kesser three." A fight in the Dutch capital could be ideal for the fight, with both fighters unlikely to be willing to travel to the others home country again. The pair first met in Herning in 2010, and then again this week at the O2 Arena in London. A fight with Kessler is amongst many options for Froch, with fights against Andre Ward and Bernard Hopkins also strong possibilities. Hearn made these comments during a lengthy Q&A with iFilm London's Kugan Cassius. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=VuuIoIDmo0k
