“Chad Dawson is the best light-heavyweight in the world. He’s proved that by beating Bernard Hopkins, with two wins over Antonio Tarver, a win over Glen Johnson, he’s really cleaned up the light-heavyweight division.
“He’s spanked everyone that’s been put in front of him and he’s a fantastic fighter. If I go in with Dawson and beat him then nobody could deny I’m the best light-heavyweight in the world.”

Nothing wrong with what he said Dawson is the champ at the weight if he beat him , which is unlikely imo , he would be number 1.

    This.

Tony is the man, but Clev has beaten him and Dawson is all wrong for him.

Besides, Tony's record at LHW is pretty bad.

why not, when you beat The Man, you become The Man.
He'd have to avenge cleverly though

Gonna say it one more time.

I do not see how you can give Nathan 7 rounds in there fight?

Please tell me which rounds you scored for Nathan.

6 is possible, 7 IMO is not.

This, Dawson is the light Heavyweight world champion, if Bellew beats him then he wins the championship, its that simple.

Only chance he has is to get him over here and hope Dawson falls apart due to a hostile liverpool crowd but im not sure whether eddie would put that much money up to get him over.

Statement is true, Dawson is proven to be the best L.Heavy in the world. Most people also thought Bellew beat Clev. However, Bellew has got very little chance in beating Dawson, unless as smoggy says the fight somehow happens in Liverpool and he can't take the hostile atmosphere, which is still unlikely.

I think Dawson will drop his belt rather than face Bellew.

Why would he do that? Are you implying Dawson is scared of facing Bellew?

HBO won't approve the fight. Dawsons track record on holding onto a belt speaks for itself!

I was absolutely amazed when Dawson came down in weight to fight Ward, who Id have backed to beat him at 175.Other than that,he's got a terrific resume. Not heard the interview yet,but if Bellew says beating him makes him number 1,then I agree.Same with Stevenson if he happened to beat Dawson.I actually don't think Bellew is out of place in this company.Chilemba is a top boxer,as is Cleverly, who I think he edged. The only thing I was surprised at there is that he seemed to accept that decision with no complaint.
