Carl can not beat Ward that is true, but he does believe he CAN beat him, no fighter can get to the level where Froch is without having crazy belief in himself every fighter worth **** believes he can beat everyone!!!

    Great point.
I could swear I posted almost word for word what you said a few months ago.

That'll send Carl's already sky high appeal into the stratosphere.
    Perfectly put.

Froch should not rematch him. Why take a sure loss and hurt your earning power. He's already 35. Keep getting your 7 figure paydays and tell Ward to **** off.

True. Brits don't place as much emphasis on winning as americans do. That's why Bruno was so popular. Theres no need for Froch to attempt to set the record straight with Ward, because nobody in the UK is holding that loss against him. He can go out with a series of exciting fights, likely win them all while Ward waits for a mythical perfect big money fight, and argue that despite losing to Ward, he is retiring with the better resume.

I can see a scenario where Ward spends the next year and a half unsuccessfully calling out Chavez, Canelo, Calzaghe, Martinez, and Pavlik while Froch cleans out the rest of 168, fights Pascal, Hopkins and then retires with a credible argument as a more accomplished fighter than Joe.

Lol @ cash cow. Is Sergio Martinez a cash cow too?

Froch should stay far away from Hopkins or Ward. He loses to both and there goes the "cash cow." Better off beating some no-hopers in front of fans who don't know any better.

Carl doesnt even need Ward... Carl makes MORE money fighting Kessler or a nobody compared to WARD vs Godzilla.

That is a superb post and assertion mate.

But I do feel that having improved and become the unified champion,if Carl wants the fight, it's his right to try and put the record straight, even though he probably won't win.
Ward seems to want a fight with Chavez, who has already been shown to be very beatable at 160,and the sad thing for Ward is,if he gets the fight,it won't be him people are paying to watch.
When Ward brilliantly out muscled Froch,I came on and put my hands up about being wrong and became a fan.Now you have all this hate for Froch all because Andre has the sharpest clothes but no party to wear them out to.

What is the problem with suggesting that Ward comes over to fight the guy who has cleaned out the division and improved since the first fight, even at an advanced age?
Ward makes a great payday, probably wins and will no doubt win some more badly needed fans.
But as I said, you made a superb post.At this stage, refusing to fight Froch is his loss, and no big deal to anyone else.
For all the bull**** about fans over here,I became a proper ***** in the build up to Hatton,a fan of Ward after he beat Froch, **** I even took a liking to Wlad because of his excellent conduct in the Haye build up.
Maybe Ward can come over and find the love that clearly doesn't exist in his own state/country/continent.

What win does Ward have that's better than beating Froch?
Or do you feel he has better wins against say,Kessler? Abraham?
Or what about the ghost of Chad Dawson?

Ward has expressed interest in flying to the UK several times. No offer has been made. Seems to me Hearn isn't so interested in the fight.

He's got a much better win against a younger Kessler and, more important, has his whole career in front of him. And if you think Froch is so great then keep in mind he got his ass kicked by Ward. It was a nice battle between his leftovers on Saturday though.

Froch should avoid Ward and fight Hopkins and Cleverly/Groves then finish his career with Kessler 3. I don't think he can beat Ward. The only guy who could beat Ward is Calzaghe, if he came out of retirement.

    Bull****
When has he expressed an interest several times?
Even on Saturday, he started his interview by saying "why should I come over?" and only relented when he realised he had sounded bad.

The only reason the fight has any relevance now is because Froch holds 2 belts and no one cared before Saturday, so spare me the bull**** about "several times"

Hearn and Froch have just cleared a major hurdle and despite what Hearn wants,Froch will no doubt tell himself that he can turn this one around so let's wait for them to have their well earned holiday.

And Ward's twitter rants don't count as "expressing an interest"
He even called out the master of the sport(whose best weight is 147) so at least try to keep it real please.

Clearly not reading the thread properly.
I've said in more than one post in this thread alone that Ward wins a rematch.
And I also mentioned that I became a fan after he beat Froch(very convincingly)

    Nice try but epic fail

Oh is that how he started that interview when they discussed that topic? And how did he end it?
