I don't know how realistic it is of having these two pair up right now in time and personally I think that Pedro guy has been doing good job, but I read that Cotto is in talks with Freddie Roach for his next fight. I don't know what working with Freddie Roach will do for Cotto at this stage of his career. Do you think Floyd would match up good with Cotto's style?

I was watching some old Oscar fights, in alot of his post fight interviews he gives praise to Floyd Sr. for improving his defense, and working on his right hand.

    Thoughts? :think

the trainer cotto has now is best conditioning wise.it's nothing a trainer could do for cotto besides that at this point because cotto's habit's are what they are and won't change.

Floyd Sr. would probably improve most fighters, but he might want to force the mold of a defensive fighter who works behind a jab and a lead right hand a bit too much for Cotto.

Diaz just said that he would respect Cotto's decision to go to Roach because in his opinion Roach is still #1 in the game.

    Well, he did.

Cotto had a phenomenal coach in Pedro Diaz! Shame they couldn't continue, I honestly felt Diaz brought out everything that was wrong with Cotto before.
