So is Froch going to be SBO for every fight going forward now?

The thread title pretty much explains my query, do you think Froch will now be on PPV no matter who is facing until he retires or do you think it depends on who he is up against in the future/the SBO figures for the Kessler rematch?

this was a concern for me before the kessler rematch

if he fights ward then it will have to be PPV because ward will not come over here without a decent pay guarantee which can only come from PPV, sky were already doing a tale of the tape between froch and ward on sky sports news last night

No, they aren't going down the Amir Khan "I'm a PPV fighter now" route again, they're smarter than that. Unless of course all his fights from now are big enough for PPV, he's only got 3 or so fights left I think

Suppose it depends on who he's fighting, Ward, Groves and probably Chavez would all be PPV fights, certainly if the fights were staged in the UK.

If he fights someone like Steiglitz, you would hope it's not, it would certainly need an amazing undercard to sell it.

I think there's a good chance that if the PPV has done well like i think it will, sky will be inclined to look at putting a big fight PPV on every year on the night of the champions league final.

Froch is a legend and a proud warrior, and a PPV star. In fact, he is so big now that Sky don't need to bother their arse with a decent under card. You could even make a case that Froch is now a bigger PPV star than what Khan ever was i.e. Khan got a PPV with McCloskey pulled by Sky due to poor under card - that big under card **** is beneath Matchroom/Froch.....

  8. I am fairly confident whoever Froch fights next it will be on PPV

  9. Never stopped them doing for some of Ricky Hatton's fights

Is Chavez jr really a ppv fight? As good of a fight as it is and I want to see it but i don't think so.

Groves, Kessler III and Ward II would all - rightly, IMO - be on PPV. I'm not sure any other fight would be and I certainly couldn't think of one that'd merit it, bar possibly Pascal II if he demolishes Bute.

whether it deserves to be or not is irrelevant...it would have to be to satisfy purse demands

The ward fight was on sky sports 1 under 2 years ago, why would we pay £15 to watch it now.
