I like Lara and he has a chance against Canelo for sure. but I also think Canelo can beat the living crap out of Lara. so I disagree with a wide UD because i dont feel anybody (expect Mayweather) can beat Canelo by a wide UD. wont happen, to much talent and great boxing skill. Canelo doesnt mind slugging it out but he actually takes his time and pick his shots. hes not your typical mexican boxer. and the way he was moving his head just hes got better. I hope the fight gets made
I use to be big on Lara when he was starting out, but it's not like he's looked special in the past few years. And those close fights that he lost, and the draw to Molina were all relatively close. If he was the ****, he would have won decisively and left no doubt.
thats very true. I thought he beat Williams for sure, but you got to work Molina. i thought that was a huge step back. Lara needs to whoop Angulo big time to make a statement. Angulo has no buissness winning that fight or even 4 rounds
Trout was a HUGE RISK!! and Canelo didnt care and took the fight. so Oscar doesnt care now. Canelo wants to fight who he wants to fight. So if Lara looks good against Angulo then the fight should get made. I think Kirkland would be great but him taking the Canelo fight without a warmup means an ass whooping

Canelo is quite obviously nothing special, so it wouldn't really surprise me. Whether or not Lara could actually get a decision, though, is another matter.
If Lara fights Trout or another big name, he'd definitely have good grounds for a fight. In the end, people were demanding Canelo fight Trout because Trout beat Cotto. No one is demanding Canelo fight Lara, especially not the casuals. Only people on here who are drawing straws and are dying to see Canelo get beaten. Lara isn't beating Canelo, though.
Both have suspect stamina, Lara takes longer breaks, Canelo would win with power shots... Lara would not be able to take the pain. He would get frustrated then MMA canelo and then Canelo would proceed to get pissed and steam roll him the ground... canelo can box, slug, counter punch, or be very agressive and his power is game changing. Trust me, Lara would not win.
Lara would not make it past Trout, Trout would outwork him and outslick him... now Canelo thats another monster. Lara's **** volume, glass body would not make it.
