The vast, vast majority of the British sporting public has no idea who Austin Trout is. What a ridiculous comparison. BoxNation is a flawed product that won't be around in the long term. Enjoy it whilst it lasts.
The stateside PPVs will never be PPVs in this country unless they involve a British fighter or are tacked on to UK card. I admire Boxnation's strategy to an extent but whether or not it's sustainable long term is up for discussion- the majority of American/European fights will only bring in the hardcore fans and Boxnation needs casuals at this stage.
Who cares if it does not come..? I don't. There is hardly any difference, what is the big deal with HD. Its not as if, the pictures are 3D and project themselves out into your living room! So its as if you have ringside seats, and are actually in the arena and can look to your right and see a celebrity sitting next to you..? Chill the **** out. HD is ****, what is the big deal with abit more colour..? that makes no difference. I would rather Boxnation spend there money on something better. When i bought the Froch vs Kessler fight on Saturday, i had the choice to buy the SKY HD fight or just normal SKY fight. SBO SBO HD That's how it appeared on my TV screen, i just chose the top one. HD is one of the most pointless technical advances ever. Your TV is already in HD anyway, that's why its called a HD TV.
I'm too used to watching grainy, black and white film to demand HD. It's a nice feature but it doesn't make a boxing event any better for me personally. If I was watching a film, I'd want HD but where boxing is concerned, I'm not that bothered about non-HD shows.
You're a good poster but I have to school you on this one, There is a significant difference between a non-HD broadcast and a native-HD Broadcast. Here is an example of a HBO Broadcast both captured in SD (Standard Definition) and HD (High Definition). What version/Video Bit-Rate/Frame Rate/Video Size/ Standard Definition/1733 Kbps/29.970 Fps/688x384/ [yt]iV2nP_tWs3c[/yt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iV2nP_tWs3c High Definition/16200 Kbps/60 FPS/1980x1920/ [yt]yfASwOmPJjQ[/yt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfASwOmPJjQ Also add the fact that even though the Boxnation signal is not native HD your TV (being a HDTV) will upscale it to 720p automatically, thus making it 'look better'. In saying this you probably won't notice but because I edit videos and **** I can tell when it's of not the top quality straight away.
hd is so much better than sd i was in the camp it makes no difference til i got it - when you do the contrast in quality stands out a mile
Top stuff I don't mind paying a bit extra for HD, maybe £12.50 a month is fine, even £15 a month I'd still pay for.
