i really cant stand ward, he is trying to act too much like floyd...instead of fighting the best out there he is cherry picking opponents he knows he can beat and not wanting to fight anywhere but home, and its always about the money...he is acting like a man on the verge of retirement looking for a payday

i wish fighters would be more hungry and actually fight, anyone anywhere anytime.....just like it used to be...i mean if the whole of boxing was lie floyd and ward then it would resemble much more like wwe, lol

Eubank and Benn might also be potential candidates for Ward's next fights then - nice! :D

Does anyone keep track of Ward's challenges?

This guy has Dwight Howard's marketing skills.

calzaghe called himself a 'great fighter' after waiting until jones and hopkins lost their titles and hit their forties before fighting them - now the roles are reversed calzaghe doesn't want to play

You`re kidding, right? Ward KO-ed a dry Dawson, who else, and when will he do it again? Announce me when he does it...

lol. exactly. Ward is safety first. Why not call out some of the big boys at light heavy? Calzaghe has been on the burgers on pints since he retired, why call a man like tha him out? He is fully retired.

Who should he fight at LHW?

    Nathan Cleverly?

    Tavoris Cloud?

    Bute?

Hopkins and Ward won't fight each other.

The only viable challenge at LHW is Pascal, maybe, and to be honest it's not that much of a challenge for Ward.

Besides he's still making 168 comfortable and allegedly the money fight is in the UK. I think that one will happen.

I'd like to see Ward take on Stieglitz if he can hopefully beat Abraham.

And then, I really wanna' see him move up to 175 and take on new people. Nothing at 168 intrigues me anymore.

I think much of the criticism Ward is getting about this alleged Calzaghe thing is warranted; the man has long since retired. Or that he should travel if he wants the big $ fights. Those are legit.

The idea that he is a cherry picker or safety 1st type fighter is silly. He fought in the S6. Didn't really have a choice who he fought. The one time he did have a choice to fight during that period, he chose Sakio Bika. Not exactly a safe choice. Next guy, Dawson came looking for him. He was drained, no doubt, but still not a safe choice.

    1. Because he entered a tournament as a NOBODY where he was gifted 2 World title fights delivered to his home country, without acknowledging that fact. Not only that, but having had those fights delivered to his home town, he now uses the reverse argument that he doesn't have to travel because he's the champion. He's a hypocrite, is what he is, unless he returns the closest (on the scorecards) fight of his career and does what everyone else did for him. I find it very strange people can't see this in the black and white it so clearly is...

    2. Do me a favour. Neutral. In the USA. With an American ref. Please, seriously, I wish Ward fans would stop claiming it was neutral. If anything, the fact that Ward complains so much about fighting outside his home STATE shows that he really doesn't have a big fanbase, which - let's face it - is actually his biggest gripe at the moment. He hates the fact that no one likes him.

    3. Carl Froch does not 'look for gift decisions'. He feels that with a NEUTRAL REF, and fighting in his own country instead of Ward's will lift his own performance a level above where he was in December 2011. That is not far fetched (still not saying he'd win, but that he'd perform better), and he is certainly not looking for a gift. You show how little you know of Froch with that statement.

Ward beat Froch easily and both men were respectful towards each other immediately afterwards. But after time had passed and the dust had settled Froch started running his mouth about Ward and making excuses, I'm a fan of Froch but I don't blame Ward for being pissed off at the lack of respect Froch has been showing him.

Ward should come to England and make Froch show him the respect he deserves by totally outclassing him again.

As for Calzaghe, Ward is more than good enough to eclipse Calzaghe without the need to fight, or even mention him. He's already not far off as it is.
