So many yanks are up in arms over the 118-110 scorecard in froch's favour last weekend, and while agree it was wide of the mark, these are probably the same people that agreed with byrd scoring a 114-113 win for bernard hopkins against joe calzaghe back in 2008. a fight which calzaghe clearly won.

I think there needs to be some sort of review into her ability to score a fight properly cos she obviously doesnt know what shes doing.

Adalaide Byrd also scored the Rios/Abril fight 117-111 for Abril. 118-110 for Froch wasn't a bad score card. I had it 117-111.

Even 116-112 was a slight stretch. 118-110 is like scoring pacquiao - Bradley 116-112 for Bradley. An absolute joke. 115-113 for froch or a draw.

114-113 for Hopkins was a lot better than 116-112 for Calzaghe (Giampa). The fight was very close and could have gone either way. A fair few British commentators had Hopkins just scraping the win.

She got it right on Abril vs. Rios. The other judges didn't.

And she picked the right winner on Froch vs. Kessler II.

Until she picks the wrong guy in the fight as the winner, I will have a lot of respect for her even if I disagree with her scorecards because she has the guts to call it like she sees it even if she has to go against the grain/boxing politics, and that is almost unheard of in boxing.

    Long live Ms Byrd!:good

Scoring a fight in boxing is highly subjective. Are you really going to tell me that there are 5 rounds that Kessler definitely won?

There was at least 4 and a handful of even ones, hence 116-112 is at the fringe of the acceptable and 118-110 is a flat out disgrace.

Byrd has a rather checkered past when it comes to strange scoring does she not, was there not some nonsense regarding her scoring in UFC too?

And lets look at some of the big fights she has scored.

Mikkel Kessler vs. Carl Froch: 118-110 Froch
Maybe a bit too wide but the right man won.

Zab Judah vs. Danny Garcia: 116-111 Garcia
Probably the best scorecard of the tree judges. Anek Hongtongkam had it 114-112 wich was ridiculously close.

Moises Fuentes vs. Donnie Nietes: 114-114
Judge Pat Russell had the same score and the third judge had it 115-113
That fight deserved a draw but it could have gone either way.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez: 47-46 Pacquiao
All three judges had the same score and if you do a little bit of digging on ESB you will find that almost everyone had the same score. A relatively easy fight to score.

Austin Trout vs. Miguel Cotto: 119-109 Trout
A score that was definitely too wide but luckily enough the right man won.

Mariusz Wach vs. Wladimir Klitchko: 120-107 Wladimir
Can“t really argue with that. Maybe a few points too wide.

Sergio Gabriel Martinez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr: 118-109 Martinez
The perfect score if you ask me.

She does a pretty good job if you ask me :bbb
