Does Andre Ward suffer from the same problems as the Klits?

To a degree. But Wlad is the only truly boring fighter listed. Vitali actually engages his opponents and Ward actually displays incredible amounts of skill. To a casual fan, though, I can see them getting lumped together.

But yes, both Andre and Wlad will be prohibitive favorites in pretty much any conceivable bout and neither will blast the opponent out in the first couple rounds.

In a lot of ways, I agree with this. Andre has to think his way through his fights. His best attribute is his ability to make adjustments.

That's why I can't compare him to Wlad, who has only one strategy. Vitali makes more in ring adjustments.

 

At least Ward fights top fighters like Froch. Wlad just takes the most easy non risky fight he can find. Wlad holds true boxing fans hostage because even he himself knows what will happen if he gets hit. The sad truth is he has got Heavyweight boxing kicked off USA TV. Being Heavyweight Champion means nothing anymore thanks to Wlad Klitschko. Vitali is the real champ anyway. The WBC is the real belt in my eyes. Wlad will never be WBC champ.

 

Ward's problem is fairly simple. He lacks power and is simply too good for even the top flight competition he's been taking on in recent years, so he's labeled as boring because his fights are one-sided. He fights consistently on the inside and outside, doesn't fight scared, and obviously tries for the stoppage, just lacks the power to get them often.

Wlad on the other hand, fights mega-cautiously against a far lower level of competition that he could knock out early with his huge punching power, but he does not because he is terrified of getting his chin checked by anybody. He clinches repeatedly just to clinch and lean on said opposition, doesn't throw many punches, and only goes for the KO when his opponent is completely gone.

 

Ward is a genius in the ring, the K bros may have their PHDs but their techniques are pretty simple. You would never ever see a either bro dismantle a fighter the way Ward did to Froch (and at his own game at that). So what you have is a brilliant style that can solve any fighter versus a basic style that the other fighters in the division cannot solve. As a fan of the art of boxing what Ward can do is a thing of beauty, switch hitting, boxing inside, boxing outside, feints footwork, setting up his punches, footwork. Wlad does some of those things but he has never been pushed to reach the level of Ward so why would he?

So if you didnt guess by now, i do not see anything in either bro that reminds me of Ward. If you are saying that none of them have any real challenges, I would agree but that "problem" is due to completely different reasons

 

Wlad is an absolute joke of a fighter. For as big as he is and hard hitting, he fights like an absolute *****. I find myself surfing the web after 3 rounds for his last previous six fights. Ward is much less boring but when he goes into his hold and maul tactics, it becomes a snoozefest.

 

Being dominant doesn't automatically mean being boring, look at Tyson, he dominated the mid to late 80's and was probably the most exciting heavyweight ever.

I personally don't find Vitali boring, he may lack the power he once had but he puts on a beat down when he has to. Wlad can be very tedious and frustrating to watch as he really only has one game plan and his spoiling, jab and grab style is repetitive and boring, though in his last couple of fights he has been more entertaining.

I have learned to appreciate Ward's skills. Yes he is a bit of a spoiler himself but he has more than one game plan, he makes adjustments, has variety to his game.

Vitali has the highest KO percentage in heavyweight champion history and Vlad is not far behind. Klitschkos usually get knockouts. Void couldn't even knock out the last woman he beat up!

SOB Ward beat Kessler by intentional illegal headbutt, but his personal referee called the illegal blow wonderful, as long as it's Ward who does it. Ward fights in his hometown with his own personal referee and judges.
