Over 190 Press/Fan Scores from the Froch-Kessler fight

Never said you did. 6-6 is finding any reason to not give Froch the win, but win he did. Close, but clear.

 

In no way am I a fan of Compubox but the stats for the fight make interesting reading....

Think what you'll find is the total punch stats are misleading as froch won first three rounds where he landed many and kessler hardly anything...

The rd by rd punch stats are far more interesting...

When froch won a round he clearly won it whereas when Kessler won a round he just about did...thats probably the reason why so many people think 118 is acceptable but you have to remember each round should be judged on its own...

 

Like i said i can understand a 7-5 froch win and its acceptable. He was at home, fair enough..

I score each round on its own and on its own merit. Number of punches, the quality, the effect of punches, who's pushing the action, who's coming forward, who looked in control etc.

This isnt the amateurs where more landed means you win the round;- people need to understand that

 

I don't think that anyone thinks that 118-110 is acceptable, I scored it wide but can't see where Froch won 10 rounds....The punch stats (as flawed as they are), on a round by round basis, show that Froch CLEARLY won the fight, and quite comfortably. To get it a draw I reckon you must have been watching a re-run of the first fight and not realised it.

 

Like you stated punch stats are not accurate so should only be used as a guide.

If kessler landed 9 powerful hurting shots to froch and froch landed 10 jabs each round for the full fight does that mean froch should win 120-108??

I actually had Froch winning the first fight but putting money on him may have obscured my thinking, go figure

 

I agree with all of this, especially the bolded part...the stats show that Froch actually threw and landed more power shots consistently throughout the fight....these stats were backed up by the evidence of my own eyes

 

Being at home has nothing to do with it. Without displaying bias the most rounds you can give Kessler is five. His work was often cleaner, but there just wasn't enough of it.

 

I love the fact DeathEater seems to truly believe Froch didn't win. Amazing.
