I see numerous threads on Paulie-Adrien Broner, but none of this fight.

Malignaggi-Broner is a garbage fight, why are people not buzzing about dangerous fights such as Dawson-Stevenson and Maidana-Lopez?

No one likes Dawson. Or Stevenson. Whoever wins, it's a lose-lose.

    two things

    1. people talking about the Broner fight because thats the buzz he creates already at 23. he fights like Floyd, runs his mouth, thats why. the buzz is really not cause Paulie is great, people wanna see if Broner can beat him.

    2. Nobody talking about Dawson fight because people tired of him! So Much potential and doesnt swing, thats why theres no buzz. I hope Stevenson wins so Ward can move up after Froch rematch

Nobody knows Stevenson outside of Canada. He's a big puncher without a resume.

I'm a big Chad Dawson fan, John Scully even recognized this himself and sent me a worn Everlast track jacket that says "Team Dawson" in the back. Pretty nice gesture by Scully, he's a good guy. I kept the package where he sent it in.

But yeah, as a huge fan of Dawson, i'm excited, but not that much because I just don't think that highly of Stevenson. This is just a 'get back in the mix' type of fight for Dawson. He did this back when he fought Diaconu too, he just wanted to get back in the mix. But you see, this guy is so underrated, no one realizes his tune up fights are actually against pretty good fighters.

Hopefully Dawson wins big and gets a good fight against a top 10 LHW. The only names I see there are Hopkins and Cloud, and he already fought Hopkins. I guess Dawson could fight Bellew who is the WBC Silver champion.

Stevenson is pretty much an unknown even on ESB. I'm looking forward to the fight can't wait to see Stevenson get a boxing lesson.

If this isn't lopsided for Dawson he is past it and needs to retire. No drama unless you are looking to see if Chad recovers his form after his last debacle.

    :good

    Thanks mate.

If Dawson is faded, a dangerous puncher like Stevenson could be problem for him. I see Dawson tapping that ass though, should be an intriguing fight.

Fights I'm looking forward to in June:

    1) Maidana-Lopez
    2) Macklin-Golovkin
    3) Malignaggi-Broner
    4) Huck-Afolabi
    5) Dawson-Stevenson

Some other tasty ones in there too. How can you call Broner-Malignaggi a garbage fight I don't even really like either of these guys but I definitely want to see it and I'm looking forward to it. I reckon it's a more interesting fight and that creates a lot of buzz.

I'm looking forward to it, but as mentioned Stevenson isn't one of Dawson's biggest tests. And that in and of itself speaks to the quality of his resume, but still ...

I'd like for him to avenge Pascal.

I would love to talk about this fight. Dawson is trying to remain relevant. Stevenson is trying to become relevant outside of Canada. This is a big fight.

Dawson is clearly more technically skilled, but Stevenson has the power to turn the tide quickly. I think a hydrated, healthy Dawson is able to avoid most of those shots and take a UD.

I think the Ward fight has people confused about Dawson's chin.

Look at the hard shots he took against bigger punchers in Adamek, Johnson I and Pascal. The Ward TKO, when he was on shaky legs with just jabs that Ward landed, that was something way different than chin problems. He looked very weak as if he was severely weight drained.

Stevenson might be confident because of seeing Dawson's last fight, but once he tries to go to war with Dawson, who's the much better fighter, he will see it was just those 7lbs that had Dawson weak.

Some people never recover from those type beatings in a drained state, just ask RJJ.

The main intrigue in this fight for me is how Dawson recovers from the weight loss and KO against Ward. Stevenson has a punchers chance regardless, but the Ward fight might have multiplied that chance.
