Hard to get excited for a Dawson fight. The man is to inconsistent. Half the time he doesn't even look like he wants to be in the ring.
Although 7lbs is a lot in boxing, RJJ went down 25lbs. It's not really comparable. What Roy did was just stupidity. After fighting Tarver the first time, he should have retired.
I became a fan of Dawson because he went back with Scully Kevin. As a long term fan,don't you think his treatment of John was shabby at best?
I've talked to John Scully several times, he's a good guy. He said some things about how CD treated him. You know, I can't really give my take on that because I do not know the full story, so I can not judge either guy. All I can say is that Scully is a really good guy and deserved better, and I wish Chad Dawson makes a good come back.
I can't think of a better fight for a double-knockout to occur. It's no more likely than usual, but I'd love to see both of these men somehow lose in a single fight.

I am looking forward to this Dawson fan I appreciate Scully's posts when he made them on here, and showed is side of the story.
It's a shame more people don't try to communicate with fans the way John does.It shows a great deal of respect for boxing fans IMO. I know trolls can ruin things but what a difference it would make if other key figures took a leaf out of Scully's book.
I'm not really that buzzed to be honest. I'm rooting for Bad Chad, which is a rarity, but am hesitant to place too much faith in him. He is far more skilled than Stevenson, and could theoretically box the *******'s face off or even stop him with a crisp straight left hand counter - but images of him getting manhandled by Ward keep flashing through my head and I just can't see him lasting 12 with a big puncher - especially one who jumps in with shots and springs ambushes like Pascal, who really troubled him stylistically. If we get the outcome I'm hoping for, it will probably be a snooze-fest (Dawson UD). If we get the outcome I'm expecting, it will probably be one for the highlight reels but not something I'll be overjoyed to watch. (Stevenson KO) So either way, nothing to get buzzed about.
I had a thread a couple weeks ago about it, Dawson has been one of my faves for years. If Dawson is even 75 percent the fighter he used to be he will embarass Stevenson and win with ease, maybe even his first KO in a longtime. Stevenson can punch and that's it, Dawson has always shown a solid chin so that shouldn't be a problem unless the ward loss coupled with going down and back up in weight destroyed him.
