Mayweather vs. Alvarez: Catchweight of 152 !!

    I have never disputed Mayweather`s choices in the past, but I am a little suspect as to why take this fight so early in his contract. The catchweight doesn`t bother me because Canelo will be outweighing him by at least 20lbs come fight night, so it just means that Mayweather just silenced his critics once again, and probably knows something that we don`t. A very good match up but what happens if mayweather dismantles him, is it a cherry pick?

    Because it was not in Pac's favour. Fraud came in over weight and paid for it and JMM had not fought outside of LW. Thats the difference END of.

    And thats why canelo signed Ariza!!

    canelo knew this fight would be done at a catchweight..he's been making weight with nobdody to help him.
    Ariza has been getting chavez jr down to 160 for awhile now...he'lll get canelo to a comfortable 152.

    The people that hate Floyd know he is so good he will beat Canelo,so that makes them mad and have to prepare an excuse when he wins... This is what is going through their minds,Floyd haters are bigger fans than legitimate Floyd fans..

    True though,funny to see the band wagoner boxing fans talk **** about 2 undefeated fighters and the best option actually taking place..

    The premise of this thread is so damn ******ed, you say he won't get credit for fighting Canelo at 152 so you rather the fight be at 147 where he really won't get an ounce of credit if he were to win.

    Not saying it is better. I'm saying that if either way he is going to get hated on at least do it with the full advantage instead of half assing it with a catchweight.
    Canelo probably wouldn't have to work that hard for that additional 2lbs so his advantage will still be there.

    Never do thing half ass there is no benefit in it whatsoever
