canelo is too big for mayweather. if mayweather got wobbled by sugar shane, imagine what will happen when canelo connects.

if both fighters are x-0-0 (0 NC lol) then one of the 0s does have to go.

I think he'll even catch Canelo in spurts a few times with the overhand right. Canelo is wide open to that punch.

Yup, bring the guard down, spear it down the middle.

He seems to enjoy using that punch and I see no reason to stop against Canelo. Great way to sweep around ear muffs.

The X factor would be Floyd's brittle hands. Could he keep Alvarez at bay with just his left hand? That would be very difficult to do.

I thought his hand problem was fixed but he managed to break it again in the guerrero fight? Or was it not broken- how long does it usually need to heal because he also needs to train

Knowing Dwyer, he'd come up with some contrived way to justify Floyd by KO straddled against Canelo by Decision.

"Now I know this is controversial. But let me just say one thing. When was the last time Mayweather fought a Mexican star in Las Vegas? It was against Oscar...Day...La Hoya. Here's a guy who-whether it's deserved or not-is considered the future of boxing. Not just Mexican boxing...right... but the future of boxing itself. Floyd Mayweather is the most polarizing figure in the sport. Who's to say the judges don't give Canelo Alvarez every round they can in the same way they gave Oscar Day La Hoya a split decision, in a fight which, in my opinion, wasn't even close? Let me go one step further. I had Oscar Day La Hoya....winning....just....2.....rounds....in that fight. Given the odds, and the kind of fight this is going to be, the kind of build-up behind Canelo there's going to be, I like Canelo by decision. IF Floyd doesn't get the stoppage.

Now I know people are going to say, 'Dwyer, Floyd hasn't stopped anyone in years. Dwyer, Canelo's going to be huge on fight night.' Let me just say this. Floyd's power is very underrated. Because of his precision and masterful boxing skill, people forget that Floyd packs a punch. Remember...the Victor...Ortiz...fight. It only took two punches to put him away. Ortiz was crawling on the canvas like he didn't know where he was.

Now let's look back at the Trout fight. Now even though Trout went the distance with Meeguel Cotto, I actually thought he had Canelo ready to quit in that fight. During the mid-rounds, when Canelo starts backing up, and Trout starts throwing behind his jab, take a look at Canelo's face. That's the look of a man...who wishes he were somewhere else. Now Canelo ended up dropping Trout, and winning a close decision. But ask yourself this: what if he hadn't dropped Trout? Would Canelo be the one in line to fight the pound for pound king today? Or would we see a young, somewhat green fighter, stopped in the championship rounds? Now Floyd is many times the fighter Trout is, in terms of his ring IQ. Quite frankly, I think Floyd makes this look like the Judah fight by the 8th round, and either forces the referee's hand, or makes the corner throw in the towel after seeing him take such a beating.

Let me know what your thoughts are. I look like a turtle."

    Floyd by massively boring decision.

There's no way he's going to engage with Canelo, and there's no way Canelo can catch him.

    I'm bored already .......

(I'd rather watch paint dry on Andre Ward's house.)
