I Don't Understand Why People Think Canelo Stands a Chance

    against Floyd, and I don't understand why people think Alvarez is some sort of unstoppable fighting machine. He didn't look that great against Trout, and quite frankly could have lost it.

    Don't get me wrong, he's a really ****ing good fighter, but time and time again Floyd's swept aside people hyped to beat him. I'm not saying Canelo's a hype job; I'm saying there's a lot of unjustified hype surrounding this fight.

    The first few rounds will be interesting and close, but then Floyd will adjust and figure out Canelo, and comfortably win every round after that. It will be boring in some people's eyes, the same as the Guerrero fight, and that will be that.

    Anyone else think the same?

    I'll eat my crow if Canelo wins, but I can't see it happening in a month of Sundays.

    Floyd's toughest fights came against who?
    Cotto, Castillo, Oscar, and Judah (fast, counterpunching southpaw).

    The first 3 all had the same thing in common. Floyd was coming up in weight and giving away a big weight advantage. Those 3 fights made sure to take big advantage of that weight also

    Because he literally is a Light Heavyweight on fight night, punches hard, and is not the typical come forward brawling Mexican we are so used to. I'm not saying he'd win, but i'm saying why people give him a chance.

    Oh yeah, the kid's elusiveness is clearly good. He made a pretty serious boxer like Trout look silly missing. So add that to his arsenal, he has defense/head movement, something that will come in handy with a sharpshooter like Floyd.

    No one around Floyd's weight stands much of a chance. People doesn't realize how f**king good he is.

    Well this is Floyd's 3rd fight above 147 as opposed to DLH being his first 154 fight, and Castillo being his first 135 fight, and Judah and Cotto were his second fight in the respective weight class.

    I would not be surprised if again, Floyd looks bigger than his 154 opponent. He looked big against both DLH and Cotto, but was actually like 10-15lbs smaller. The way his body is shaped and his muscle tone make him look like a beast on fight night when he actually has never even surpassed 151lbs on FN.

    i think his weight advantage will help him. If he connects a lot in the opening rounds we could see a very intresting fight. But that is the issue......Who has been able to hit Fraud often enough to ruin his game plans ( notice I said PLANS lol ) because he can acclimate to situations, thats why I will always watch him ( and to see if someone will KO him lmao )

    He really is amazing. Just awesome. And it pisses me off! I want to see him sparked out cold on the canvas! But it will never happen because he's too ****ing good.

    Because of their recent competition.

    Both beat Mosley(yeah Canelo got the older version)
    Floyd beat Ortiz, Canelo beat the guy that beat Ortiz.
    Floyd beat Cotto, Canelo beat the guy that beat Cotto.

    Hmmm I'm not a massive fan of the X beats Y because Y lost to Z type arguments. There are too many examples of the opposite happening. Before the rematches, Mosley beat Margarito who beat Cotto who beat Mosley who beat Margarito who beat Cotto etc. etc.

    Notice I'm not basing this on just one fight nor am I saying Canelo beats
    Floyd because he also beat so and so.

    Simply addressing the ts's point.
